  1. We need a replacement for Olson. Someone like Tom Heaton (couple years ago) who doesn’t compete at the highest level anymore but can do a job. Where’s Karl Darlow these days?

I’d like a new right back to compete with Matthew Cashew. I don’t think Ashley Young has another year in him. Wan-Bissaka fits the bill but might cost a lot.

We’ll need at least one more midfielder with Nakamba and Samson likely leaving. I like the idea of Tim Iglooburnham having one more year on loan. Someone like Guendozie would be exciting.

I would like one more “winger” in that not-Ollie number ten role. I’d really like us to go for James Maddison, especially if Leicester go down. Smith-Rowe or Harvey Barnes would be very exciting instead.

I’d send John Duran Duran to the Championship for a year. Archer I think will be a player but he is still completely unproven in the Premier League (has he even scored?) I’d love a Kolo Munani style player to really give us options up there.

He is massively over performing his xG and xAG which is a mild concern.

Can you explain your reasoning for this, please?

xG is based on history of other players. For example, a shot from the corner of the box might have an xG of 0.1 because one-in-ten of shots from that position have gone in. If Archer is knocking in them at a higher rate because he is clinical, his goals will exceed his xG.

So can you explain why is this a concern for you? It seems like great news to me!

Also hitting post or cross bar doesn't count as shot on target IIRC when it's usually closer to scoring than on target straight at the keeper

And a whipped in ball across the six yard box that nobody gets a touch to counts as zero xG.

If you re-ran the simulator with a win against Newcastle, the results would be wildly different.

That’s just how probability works, though?

For example, the probability of a rolling 6 twice in a row from two rolls of a die is about 3%. But if your first one come up as a 6, that probability jumps to about 17%.

Similarly if we get three points from Newcastle when most of us would take a draw, the probability of hitting Europe should jump up.

If you look at 2A, in good faith, it's impossible (for me anyway) to see how banning assault rifles is against it. If so, then why stop there? Why can't people have bazookas?

If I were American I’d want the constitution changed. But I think the current reading of the 2A is correct: regular citizens are entitled to purchase guns at least similar to those routinely issued to soldiers. So the right to buy an AR-15 shall not be infringed.

I think the reading of the 2A says regular citizens should probably be allowed bazookas too. So it’s madness and should changed, IMHO.

Yeah - but do they have Gregg’s in Prague, m8?

Least exciting Villa match I ever went to was during the Lambert reign when we played a friendly approximately seven thousand miles outside downtown Chicago. I was in America that week so went up to Chicago for it, thinking it would be exotic. I remember the stadium car park had a Shell petrol station and that was about it. At least Witton has a decent Tesco.

Nonsense. Curry fully committed. Not every collision after the ball has gone is a late hit.

I’d agree with you if it wasn’t the fourth or fifth 50-50 late hit. There’s a reason England have given away 12 penalties. At a certain point you stop giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Another bit of afters from Marciant, directed at Johnny Sexton. Coincidence as well I suppose.

If Ireland win a grand slam due to a controversial red for England that's going be disappointing. They've been very good all tournament and that's not how they'd have wanted to win it (if I was them).

Dombrant’s late shoulder into Johnny Sexton warranted a yellow. Wasn’t given.

It was a soft red but England have been lucky on the discipline side.
