But every neutral wants Gerrard to get a PL medal!
I don't want him to overtake how many I've won.

cheers mate. I was only asking this. So the club person or someone closed to the club have broken rules.
what has this account got right before?
Person has said he/she works for Villa, and that the account was set up to "renew & reestablish an interrelationship with the fans."
He said a long time ago to expect "a lot of activity in the next 7-10 days", then retweeted it the day before we signed a million players.

He's a cocky little fella, isn't he? Has had a terrible season, and when he scored his first goal, he stands there nodding his head pointing to his chest..
Happy for him though. And who knows, that might be the last we see of him at Villa Park.
fair play to him - have you seen the amount of abuse he gets on Twitter?
I know, if you put yourself in the spotlight you might not always like what you hear but he's a young lad in a struggling team and deserves praise for today's important brace.
He'll get tons of praise for his goals.
Didn't need to be a bit of a prick about it, is all. VP was rocking today. He could have just celebrated like everyone else.

Now, where's that gif?

Played very well today. Well done Jordan.

Wait, wait, wait. If Norwich win their next two matches 7-0 we are in serious trouble.
We're doomed!

Well done, Andi. Great finish for the second.
Please remember though that you'd only scored about three goals all season, and the fans pay your wages.

Ha! Remember that blue-ish one, with I think the Müller sponsor, Bosnich era; that was a belter!?
Cannot find it anywhere. I'm convinced it was never actually sold.
What's going on with the sponsor logo behind Oakes?

Macron men on shoulders? Any other bits and bobs?

I think a draw between Cardiff and Sunderland will see us safe.
Have you been time warped back a few hours or taking the p*ss?
We've spent the past few pages repeating the same stuff over and over again.
I thought it was a game
(Edit: AKA taking the piss.)

We all know what will keep us up, so we should quit with this thread for a week. It's getting really repetitive.

Hand on heart I don't think we are capable of winning or drawing against any team in this league
You have a very short memory. We drew with the team in 8th place a week ago.

What other bunch of supporters in debate would be quoting wage bills.
I understand your point but completely disagree. The wage bill of course matters. Ask Leeds or Portsmouth fans.
Anyway, has anyone made the joke yet that are results are all 4-1 and 1-4 all?

To go down, we need Fulham (who are even worse than us) to win their last two games AND us to not pick up at least two points AND Sunderland to pick up at least three points more than we do.
It's not a certainty, but we're 90% safe.
Just a reminder: we sacked McLeish for getting less than 40 points. We currently have 35, with 3 games to go.
I know, it's amazing isn't it. People still supporting Lambert and his mystical project even though he is performing worse than McLeish. Double standards or what?
Double standard is a bit much.
If you're just looking at results, it's a double standard. Most of us also consider things like wage bill, general style of play, respect for the fans, etc.

We only need three teams below us.
Norwich need four points against Chelsea and Arsenal.
Fulham need six points against Stoke and Palace.
Cardiff and Sunderland play other. At least one team won't take 3 points, and have to play against either Man Utd or Chelsea.
And that's assuming we get absolutely nothing out of the remaining games. We'll be okay.

Van Basten and Bergkamp.
And Maldini to plug the gap at LB.
-
Am i the only one who can see Sunderland picking up at least 6 points from their remaining 3 home fixtures?
Could see it happening, but then that makes it very difficult for Cardiff to catch us.

Sunderland? We are still in the poo
We're okay. I'm not saying we're 100% safe, but we're 90% safe.
Cardiff need 6 points in 3 matches to overtake us.
Fulham need 6 points in 3 matches to overtake us.
Norwich need 4 points in 3 matches (against Man Utd, Chelsea, and Arsenal) to overtake us.
You could see maybe one of those happening, but probably not two or three.
And that's before you consider that we have four matches to pick up some more points.
Sunderland need seven points to overtake us. They'd most likely come from their matches against Cardiff and West Brom, who are both below us in the table.

Most important thing was nobody below us won. They are running out of games to overtake us and as a result I think we are safe. But we were bloody awful again.
Swansea.

You're welcome.
The issue here might be add-ons. If we sign Kozak for £4m but will owe another £3m e.g. if he scores 20 goals next season, how should the club's accountants record that liability?
Who realistically should be the next villa manager?

He could reshape the team into a great, honest bunch of lads.
