Look, if you don't like VT then fine, just don't be so cruel about it.
I would never ever say anything bad about VT ever. It is the best!

On my mobile it is an infinitely scrolling pile of disorganised ridiculously-sized text and pictures. It is simply horrid and has almost zero information density.
Do people really expect to just keep scrolling and scrolling forever?

Don't know if it's been mentioned before or elsewhere, but there's a new beta site ahead of the avfc.co.uk revamp.
If I put my phone the other side of the room the text is a nice comfortable size.
Seriously, what is this obsession with getting as much whitespace on a screen as possible?
Begrudgingly, though, I agree it is an improvement over the old site.

Welcome RDM and SC. Hoping this is the start of good things.

What's QED?
Quantum Electrodynamics. I'm pretty sure that's what he meant.

Tip of the diamond. Certainly he was doing the thing where he was hovering around the edge of the penalty area attracting fouls and cutting inside to shoot and all that stuff that we liked to see before this season.
-
He's having a great game. Involved in everything.

So, Dr Tony Xia has suggested he is considering setting up a football theme park in Aston.
What attractions/rides would you like to see in such a place?
-
A theme park right off the best known junction of the country's main arterial motorway bang in the middle of the country at the football club where the league's was formed and just down the road from a successful entertainment complex. I reckon it would work and could hopefully finally help to spark some regeneration in the area. As long as it isn't really really naff...
I like what Tony says in that article. I hope it isn't all just spin.

Coporate as usual.
Yeah, and they have slowly filled up a bit again now we have had fifteen minutes of second half play.

I am seeing lots of empty seats, aren't I? I'm not imagining it.

no way would i want a new stadium and no way do we need one. i see your point in the last sentence but we need to be doing really well to be hitting 50k most weeks so is it worth the risk? if we are only a mid table prem team in the next few seasons then we will average between 35-38k and in a ground which holds 50k say, then its really pointless. if we can get up first or second attempt(lets face it,there is a lot of work to do) then build an exciting team in the prem i think it will have a snowball effect and the ground will be 40k most weeks. hopefully its the start of a exciting era for this great old club.
Yeah, of course, just saying that there might be reasons why Recon might consider it. It wouldn't necessarily be worth it from the club's perspective agreed.

Tony is THE man in China.. If Wang Jianlin is THE man to know if you're into hotels and shopping malls. Tony Xia is THE man to know for everything else including space programs.
Dr Tony Xia, where Xia is pronounced something like "Stark" ??

need to get back into the prem then start filling the ground on a regular basis before we even think about it. no point spending money on the north stand until we are ready to increase capacity which could be a few years yet.
Well, to look at it another way, Recon seem to be heavily involved in architecture and urban design, and what better way to advertise your design chops than with a fancy new stadium?
Also, if we are expecting lower spectator numbers redevelopment would be less disruptive now.

Where you seeing these figures?
Ah, from the 2016 Takeover Thread :-) Hence why I said 'supposedly' and am wondering whether this is as good as it sounds. But I choose to be optimistic!

He has businesses worth billions, yet a personal wealth of supposedly 100 million. Clearly someone who isn't greedy, keeps his business and personal finances separate and basically seems an extremely smart and sensible guy.
Too good to be true?

Rubbish. Failed in our quest to hit the magic -50 goal difference mark. Eric Black out!

Wow. Most amazing result I have ever seen in F1. A genuinely incredible achievement. Well done Max.

That under-21 team from Arsenal is a joke.

Just brilliant. Today reminded me how amazing Villa Park can be. A fantastic, fun, thoroughly enjoyable day. No aggro, no moping, no misery. Loved it.

Thought he did very well. I understand why some may think he had a poor game - he made one or two glaring errors that probably overshadowed his general play. Take those errors away and he was pretty good - for a youngster breaking through I couldn't really ask for much more.

Well, I don't. Scrolling is fine when you are scrolling through the content you want to see. But I don't like it when it is a major method of finding content, which seems to be the case here on the home page. Give me a nicely organised menu system, reduce the amount of 'random other stuff' on the page and reduce the amount of whitespace and I am happy.
Having said all that, the menu system at the top is actually better than I had first thought - now I have had another play with it and got a bit more used to it I am a bit less annoyed by it :-)
