Alternatively, maybe they have some grand notion of becoming the new Red Bull? Bit of a crowded market to get into, but I suppose an energy drink marketed in tandem with a (hopefully) Premier League club would get a lot of exposure worldwide.

Been really enjoying his twittering this afternoon until that idiot went and ruined it. He has said some really genuinely nice things.

£42!!!!! What????!?!!!

Would rather keep Veretout myself. Saw very little from Gana other than blocking and interceptions (which he then almost invariably gave straight back to the opposition)

We've got Gollini in our goal
(This could probably be sung to many tunes, but I reckon to 'Whole World In His Hands')

Shearer: "he was just trying to protect his face"
No, Alan, he punched the ball. Like a goalkeeper.

Three excellent goals from Wales.

Wow. I am astonished. Poor poor Southampton. I guess they just have to hope he has no actual say in anything important. At all.
And there I was thinking they were a smart club that always made shrewd appointments.

Has anybody reproduced the example calculation whereby doubling a £500 fine results in a £1000 fine? I won't rest easy until we have validated this.

'The future is not set. There is no fate but what we make' said John Connor. Unfortunately, our future is made by the Daily Mail it seems.

Brady has been very good this game IMO - unlucky some of his first half deliveries weren't converted. And a good finish.

Dreadful refereeing. Italy getting every decision.

Wow Iceland! Amazing.

How do you expect to look at anything on your phone without scrolling??
Well, I don't. Scrolling is fine when you are scrolling through the content you want to see. But I don't like it when it is a major method of finding content, which seems to be the case here on the home page. Give me a nicely organised menu system, reduce the amount of 'random other stuff' on the page and reduce the amount of whitespace and I am happy.
Having said all that, the menu system at the top is actually better than I had first thought - now I have had another play with it and got a bit more used to it I am a bit less annoyed by it :-)

Look, if you don't like VT then fine, just don't be so cruel about it.
I would never ever say anything bad about VT ever. It is the best!

On my mobile it is an infinitely scrolling pile of disorganised ridiculously-sized text and pictures. It is simply horrid and has almost zero information density.
Do people really expect to just keep scrolling and scrolling forever?

Don't know if it's been mentioned before or elsewhere, but there's a new beta site ahead of the avfc.co.uk revamp.
If I put my phone the other side of the room the text is a nice comfortable size.
Seriously, what is this obsession with getting as much whitespace on a screen as possible?
Begrudgingly, though, I agree it is an improvement over the old site.

Welcome RDM and SC. Hoping this is the start of good things.
