Would be quite a statement from the owners - not just to buy an exciting young talent like that - but to weaken a rival too. If we gave them £50m for him Ashley would pocket the cash and give Bruce £5m to replace him.

I wouldn’t pay that for him, his out put doesn’t match that figure.

For what it's worth, I would absolutely pay 40m for Abraham.
As another poster suggested, he'd score 20 goals next season with Grealish in behind and two good wingers either side.

It's a no brainer if he's available (which I don't think he is).

    So would I

Tammy would fit our owners buy / sell plan. You pay 15 - 25m for him, as someone above me said if he gets the right service he can easily get 20 in a season. Then the big clubs start sniffing again and suddenly he’s worth 60m+

On what planet would they sell him for 15-25? at least 40

Yeah, I’d agree, I would go:

    Odsonne Eduoard - £30m - centre forward

    Ollie Watkins - £18-20m - centre forward

    Benrahma - £20-25m - attack mid/wing

    Sarr - £30m - attack mid/wing

I’d probably bring in a LB and a RB too, and perhaps an older more experienced CB (on a free transfer or something). Defence was really our major problem most of the season and buying just attackers won’t solve that I don’t think.

If benrahma was that price no doubt we would go for him, he will cost more.

we need one striker not two.

No, and I’d like him in the squad, but in a 4-3-3 I don’t know how/where he fits as a starter? If it’s next to Luiz and McGinn I’m in the camp that wants someone with defensive solidity more than attacking flair, letting SJM break forward from deep - his best attribute when fit, imo.

In jack positions this year on the left or in a 10

Eze’s not a winger and Sarr won’t go for less than £30M (Watford paid £27M) and possibly more imo - he’s a great option if we can afford him.

Eze plays all attacking midfield options including out wide.

we don’t play a 4-4-2 type winger anyway

If Brentford is up, chances of Benrahma coming will be extremely slim right?
I can't recall a promoted team letting their star player out.

Not unless it was stupid money which I simply wouldn’t pay. I can’t see a reason to pay more than 30 when you have Eze and Sarr as cheaper options.

We paid 26m for him. I seriously doubt anybody would bid a £1 over that for him in order to prise him away, yet alone the big bucks. He is bang average at this level if we are being honest.

I think someone might pay 30 plus for him personally but I agree with you he isn’t a special defender or at least not so far he’s the sort of player I would have though a 7th to 12th team would have as a starter.

i wouldn’t actively sell him but if someone offered 40m I’d definitely do that and replace him as it wouldn’t be difficult with that sum.

    Buendia will be £20-30m

20 million would be a good price I think for him, he is probably worth the 30 but when you jump to the 30 bracket you should be looking more seriously at his competition.

I swear Brentford fans get off on this 😂

I know people find it funny, but it is admirable.

Lets face it if a big club did it like they do it they would be hailed as genius' and would fly into the top 6 in our league

He will never be good enough if he doesn’t play a big part in his development is due to his game time recently

He would still get loads of game time

Good so far. But we've also seen promoted teams come up and very quickly make europe. Wolves did it in a single season. Leicester won the league two years after coming up. Burnley made europa two years after being promoted and Sheffield United were very close to making it this year.

Being a decent top half team again shouldn't be some impossible dream but a realistic challenge for us. We would need to sign very well though, infact better than we've done since around 2008-09. Big task though considering there was 14 point gap to even 12th place.

Building over the next two years filling out a squad with players you look at and say that is a top 10 finishing side, no doubt about it..... that is the next step and we can reevaluate from there.

  13. He could be a good player but he isn't yet, he should be our third choice centre back and bring in a first choice centre back who is even better than Mings.

Effectively this would lock up our central defence positions and we can just concentrate elsewhere.

All players out on loan, plus Lansbury, Jota, Nyland and Nakamba. Assume Grealish will go for big bucks.

We need a defensive mid, two wingers and a striker. That should be a manageable number to retain a team bond, but kick on.

I don't see the reason why we would get rid of Nakamba who has at least shown he is good enough to be a squad player.

The pick of the relegated teams:

    Norwich: Buendia, Hernandez

Watford: Decoure, Sarr, Deleofeu if fit

    Bournemouth: Billing, Brooks

I haven't been impressed with anyone else in those squads.

    Norwich Buendia/Aarons

    Watford Decoure, Sarr, Delefeu

    Bournemouth - No one.

He will probably see us as a sideways move at present. Moving to Arsenal or Everton would probably be more realistic. Good player though.

A backwards move in his  mind I think.

Moving from home to another probably mid table club next year can’t be high on his list of wants.
