Any fantasy move would need to be near a major transport hub with the ability to regenerate the area for the clubs benefit so to make a multi use arena commercially viable. Walking distance from two major stations, trams, bus station and city centre. Better than an industrial estate in Aston.
I have said before the area between corporation streep and moor street queensway just fits the ground in there and then you take some of the area to the west a bit for associated buildings. That is the fantasy location, it is even next to Aston Uni

If you’re talking never gunna happen locations for a fantasy stadium location then surely this area right next door to the new HS2 station which is a massive waste of prime inner city space is the logical hypothetical location. It’s ripe for redevelopment as a lot of the current buildings could be repurposed etc. It’s near two major train stations and could be a new district hub for entertainment, bars & restaurants etc.
But as I said it’s a fantasy as we aren’t moving
That is much more like it

without being a Debbie Downer, the clubs above us have two games in hand.
It doesnt take away from the fact that Emery is the King tho.
Makes you wonder if we had been lucky with injury’s this year and had a full squad throughout what may have been

Well maybe a fan could set up a go fundme for him. And if we could raise a grand there is a small vinyard outside his home town. Perhaps a few cases of case villa unai in his name.
I think it would mean a lot to him if he knew it was from the fans.
not a bad idea. You want to give him something physical, not money but a statue as it is too far.

That's 18 wins in the PL this season, with the record being 21 in 92-93 under Big Ron. Could Unai get the record?
Happy for anyone to step in and broaden it out further back...
He could and don't forget that record was when there was more games.

12 points clear at the moment. If Brentford can win tonight, it won't be going to the wire.
Well it depends if CL goes to 5th

Wouldn't shock me in the long run if he becomes more Ollie's deputy.
He looks more like a striker to me too

Villa might not thank me, but get the contract out, put it on the table, let him sign it, let him put whatever numbers he wants on it

He's not happy with reduced playing time apparently, and Kamara's simply better than him, so he'd be unhappy here as well.
But Kamara is out until 2025 in reality.
one would imagine you can sell it to him by being a top team, staying in the PL and saying well the other lad is out for four months at the start so the shirt is yours to lose.
just a suggestion as the value of the deal is good, he is very good in possession and a good passer

If they got cold feet about rebuilding one stand, I imagine the timescale on sorting that would be about 6-7 years.
Clearing that site would be a huge job of work before you even got to the foundations of a new stadium.
I still don't know why we would over complicate things to such an extent when the obvious solution is to get really clever people to find a way of acquiring properties the other side of Witton Lane ( let's face it, if you are prepared to spunk a billion on a new stadium you can definitely offer good prices for all those properties) and build a new Witton Lane behind the current stand.
There is that park area in front of the houses too.
there is always a couple who would refuse to sell as well

It is the wider industrial area. Long term it could be a better location for a new stadium/dedicated women's stadium/ - V Sports campus/Villa Live with facilities? A major regeneration of Aston with the club at the heart of it. In between Aston and Witton station too. If we are going to move ground at least go big and not far
I’d rather go into the city centre inside the ring road, I hate where we are and it solves all the transport issues

It is a bigger spot than Spurs new stadium
it isn't bigger than what we already have
Edit - I just noticed it isn't the sliver- 1

Not sure why you are asking, it is no where near big enough to put the desired stadium.
If you really want to keep the ground in that crap hole area then the question should be how much would it cost to buy the required land on holford park. -
Hojberg has a year left in the summer 15m would get him, would be good back up/competition for Kamara.

I wouldn’t expect much from him, even if he was back for say the last 5 games he is going to be very rusty and not 100% match fit

Hi Dakota.is it a zero sum game?
I just wanted them to stick with the plan they had which seemed to be based around the Trinity and New greatly enlarged, North being the best offering on hospitality and new retail, good offerings in Villa Live/ Warehouse.
What I am not a fan of is shoving in more hospitality into the current set up and increasing the prices year on year.
I am sure any potential New stadium will also have eye watering prices.
That is the price of competing in the upper third in the table....

Building a larger stadium, in the scheme of things, doesn't actually make a club an enormous amount more income - for the bigger clubs in the league, commercial revenue and sponsorship partnerships make three times the amount that stadiums do. Even Spurs, with their state of the art billion pound investment make twice as much through sponsorship as they do through matchday income.
We're maximising what we have while concentrating our growth in the areas where we're furthest behind.
Of course but it does increase revenue, it does increase the image of the club which increases the fan base and sponsorship.
it increases the value of the club for whenever they want to sell their stakes too.- 1
