  1. Over the years we have sack managers in october. Well is it not just bad timing? Why should we not sack hopeless manager in march/april, and give the new manager time to build up next season. If we sack in october the new manager has the current player and cannot sell or buy new one. Sherwood, Matteo and Bruce got sacked in october. Well Remi Garde was problably special case. I am not sure sacking Smith is a solution for the moment. But if we sack him we should do it in april. If we will give him a chance, than we should give him next season and make a decision april 2020 will we keep him or not. In long run, we should go to europe seeking for a manager.
  2. Does anyone still believe, SB is the man? lol.
  3. Henry is maybe to much risk. Ranieri, if possible, would be a good choice.
  4. It does not. Can I lock this thread or need someone who is admin?
  5. Totally agree. This not only important, it is simply vital and crucial.
  6. Ok, I admit it. I am not Steve Bruce fan. But in Bruce I do not believe. Who could be our next manager? Here is one list. Some of them will never come, are too big. We have to think big, but be realistic at same time. Some of you want Sam Allardyce, I do not think he is our best choice. This is at least my list, as stupid as it is. But it is not that bad I put Bruce on it I would check Martin Schmidt. He is experienced both by VFL and also Mainz 05. He was promoted from Mainz 05 II to Mainz 05. He is at good age, and want definitely greater carrier. He is my first choice, eventhough he has only "1,34 in average". What about Ally McCoist, is he a bad choice? Name Last Club Av.points Ally McCoist Rangers 2,30 Laurent Blanc France 2,16 Hannes Wolf VFB Stuttgart 1,99 Frank De Boer Crystal Palace 1,96 Arsene Wenger Arsenal 1,90 Eric Gerets Al-Jazira 1,80 Claudio Ranieri Nantes 1,67 Peter Stöger Dortmund 1,57 Oleg Blokhin Dynamov Kiev 1,46 David Moyes West Ham 1,46 Sam Allardyce Everton 1,36 Helder Critavao Benfica B 1,47 Martin Schmidt VFL Wolfsburg 1,34
  7. I see it now. No need to has same subject in two threads. I agree this thread should lock.

  9. Finally more and more people are beginning to admit Birkir can do something. Snodgrass, Grealish and Birkir were best against Forest. Why was Birkir performing better now than before? Two reason, firstly he got 45 minutes not just shitty 5 or 15 minutes. Secondly it is pretty clear he is leaving the club. He needs to play more as preparation for World Cup. Birkir played safe against Forest. But he is not DM he should play more attacking. In this forum some people are maintaining that Birkir might be good for Seria A team but not for Aston Villa. Does someone believes that second division in England is better and more difficult than first division in Italy? If AV wants to be one of the best team, as we all hope, the manager has to realize that Birkir is definately key player for PL. How many Villa players have experience at national level, have played in final tournament for his national team, are experience at top level teams and have been national champion, in addition have also great Champion League experience? If AV will promoted, Birkir is definately one of the key players for Aston Villa. I hope Steve Bruce will open his eyes. I hope SB shows us that he can substitute at half time, like last game, but will not behave like a robot and stop to make automatic changes in 65 minutes or after 80 minutes. June 27th 2016, Birkir was rated 3 by footballmagazine Kicker, But Rooney, Kane, Sterling got 5 (one is best, five is worst) and Sturridge 4. Why was Birkir underestimated by Steve Bruce? And why are many people surprised he showed something at English Chamiponship League level, finally he got some minutes to play? Some people will say, that was two years ago. I will reply, what about the national game against Turkey? Then some people will still stay, small countries have another atmosphere and players play with the heart. I will replay, why in hell can SB not create such atmosphere that players believe in the club and play with the heart? That is every managers main task to motivate players. UTV. I wish all of you, happy new Aston Villa year.
  10. I think it is totally SB faults if BB leaves. BB came from Ch. L team and why he was bought is beyond my understanding. You do not buy this kind of player just to fill the squad. Second BB has all chances to play at world cup. If SB do not see the opportunity in that situation he is worse manager than I thought. But it seems to be that my oppinion is in minority by the fans. Well I can not see that we will get promoted. Maybe SJ sees that too and is willing to go. Maybe the reason is something else. But I believe decision like that is some kind of aggrement. SJ has something to say about it and maybe he do not believe in SB. Yes I admit, this post belongs perhaps SB threads.
  11. It is not ideal for AV if he will leave. But if his role is to sit on the bench he has no reason to stay. He needs to be fit for world cup. Seria A would be great for him. I hope we will not loose Johnstone as well. If we loose both of them SB can leave the club. I cannot see SB will get us promoted. But I really hope I will be wrong.
  12. Well then he should be on the transfer list. Status Quo is not an option for Bjarnason.
  13. If you don't like my posts, don't read it. It's not hard. Well why create many polls? These polls are good except sometimes it is more appropriate to select none of above.
  14. Well one option like, none of above is easy to add. Fortunately most of the game someone deserve to be man of the match. In this case, in my opinion, none.
  15. Thank you for a good answer. 1. He has not played well for Villa but had Bruce give him some decent chances? He is go good to be a squad filler. I don't think Bruce knows what he is capable of doing. 2. Agree, but Bruce has never plan B. He has no idea what subs can chance a game. 3. Are satisfied how the team is playing? Is he running out of gas now? 4. Sometimes our defence looks like a strainer, like in goal number two. If he need someone who can score a goal, he should give Bjarnason some chances. He can scores but as a midfielder. But the main issues is of course, the team is not playing well. decent football, (not why Bjarnason is not the key player). But does Bruce know this fact. Birkir Bjarnason recently scored against Turkey in Turkey in a great and safe victory. So it is easy to motivate him.
