Going to clubs like Barnsley, and league one and two clubs suits me.

If Mings is willing to come then great, but frankly,

I think Kalinic, Chester ( maybe ) and McGinn, oh and that French chap we've got coming in are the only players we keep - aside from the youngsters all on loan. Bring them back flog / release / retire everyone else:

Steer ( for his sake, needs football), Bunn, Taylor, Hutton, Kodja, Elmohamady, Jedinak, Whelan, Adomah, Bjarnason, Elphick, Lansbury, Nyland. plus Tuanzebe, Abraham, El Ghazi, Hause all go back to their clubs. Grealish is going to leave, as he should too.

It might suit you - but I suspect you might be in the minority. And who's to say that Barnsley don't get promoted ?

Hause is a loan with option to by, right -- which we will take up. Same for El Ghazi

Who's going to buy Grealish ?

Pressure is really starting to mount on Smith now, we need a bloody win mate.

If you want to manage your boyhood club next season we need to be seeing something positive in the remaining games of this season, unfortunately I just cant see a win in this game or any remaining game really. Not conceding the first goal would be a minor miracle in this game for a start.

So you can't see us winning another game ??  Seriously?

Well we aint winning at the sty the following week so I'd he fails to win this week as well that's two wins in fifthteen which is relegation form.

Better in the second half and could of won it, but Stoke were awful and we were only marginally better in short spells. At least the players worked a bit harder and actually tried to get into space.

It felt like Kodjia didn't do much, the decision to loan out Hogan even if he has been crap for us now feels a bit rubbish, not sure what we have gained by loaning O'Hare out.

    what happened to RHM?

He's out on loan at Cambridge - with Jake DH

    It's the start of a 4-game mini-midlands run.

Just win.  By hook or by crook.  Stop the rot and let's see if we can't use the motivation of some local( and some local-ish) derbies* to our advantage.

    * There was a season in the Premier League (can't remember which one now...) where Stoke City were our closest opponent, and therefore our 'derby' for that season

The best thing about the next 4 games is not that they are derbies - but 3 of them are away from the venomous bucket of bile that passes for VP these days (apparently)

Hard to see anything but a loss here really.

Its the championship so anything could happen. Lose heavily here and Dean will be walking on egg shells with both the fans and the board I imagine. He's got to show us something sooner or later, just a glimmer of hope that he knows how to fix this problem and that the players are actually buying into what he's bringing to the table.

i think you will find the board will back him. Promotion not essential this season.

Doyle -Hayes was probably allowed to go on loan so he could develop his game away from our negative, non supportive fan base in the hope that when he returns he will have a skin thick enough to cope with the ‘twelfth man ‘ that inhabits our stands.

Draw for the BSC semi-final - Leamington. They beat WBA this week (probably helped by the FA Cup replay last night where some U23s played instead of in the BSC). No date set as yet.

Will be a hard game, but would love them to get to the final.

Another non-league ground out in the sticks, would like to go but will be difficult to get there by public transport.

Eurgh I’m just so gutted this is the start of his Villa career, whether he meant it or not. It looked like we finally got a decent defender...

Thanks, Edit- this was the team according to the Fulham OS: Sarkic, Walker (Revan 80), Suliman, Prosser, Rowe, Clarke, Bazeley-Graham, Vassilev (Guy), Knibbs, Mooney, Cox (Archer)

    Unused sub: Lomax

Average age 19.75 - Indiana Vassilev aged 17 the youngest 😃

The U23 have 6 more matches - 4 at home 2 away ( the  reverse for the U18)

Mings could be a dominant addition if he remains uninjured.

Ming's has been in matchday squads 13 times,  - made 5 appearances in Dec for Bournemouth - 2 starts and 3 sub appearances

But another poster (actually 2) think we have signed an injured player ? His last absence due to injury ended in April 18.

  12. Carrol is much further down the "experience" road - but Jake will be a better player in time.

As for the merits of the U23 - it's a way of getting the players to use their coached skills  in a team situation - but some players learn faster than others.

Anyone who has seen our U23 play regularly knows they can play some nice football - as a team - and the ages range from 18 - 20 years old.

  13. Listening to all these experts parsing every word/shrug/look/bodily twitch of DS is far worse than paying heed to the ITK crowd.

.btw some wise-ass suggested  that as the Samaris to Newcastle deal had fallen through, we were now in for him

    Dear God
