The medley before the blues game was brilliant, really got people up for the game. Not sure if it would lose the impact if it was played every week but hi ho silver lining was good.
Personally, i dont think you can beat theme from an unmade silent movie.

Watford to start the season poorly and sack 'silver', xia to take the opportunity and sack Bruce.
We won't get better than yesterday out of Bruce.

Oh it's going to be "that sort" of reception is it?!
Is there any other kind?

are you a group of mates or you and Mrs Rotterdam ?
I always recommend the Lancelot for groups , should be busy on a Friday night , maybe not so much on other school nights .... always a good atmosphere in there , large portions of food (though sometimes a little bit heavy on the oil) and lots of drunk people having fun .. they throw in some sword fighting and singing all adds to the fun ... if it's 2 of you and you want to try something Hungarian then look out for Fatal restaurant , same sort of food but less noise
sightseeing wise , take the funicular up to the castle district and have a walk around that area , Matthias church is rather beautiful inside , you have to pay now I believe to go into the Fisherman's bastion and get the best views across the river onto the Houses of Parliament ( for a higher view go up to the Citadel) ..walk next door into the grounds of the Hilton and you'll see some old medieval ruins that a lot of people don't' know about ..there are wine cellars up there as well if you like your wine
think you have to pre-book to go into Parliament but go see it from the front , other side of the road is where the 56 uprising was put down and you'll see some bullet holes in the walls still ..on that theme head to Oktagon metro (on the yellow line , mainland Europes oldest underground line , after ours ) and go visit the House of Terror .. very harrowing but interesting from there you can walk up to Heroes' Square it's quite nice with some statues and a park nearby with a boating lake
away from the traffic then Margaret Island is quite pleasant , large park with a small petting zoo , nice Lido area ..
you have countless thermal baths you can visit (Gellert is segregated so when you do the steam and sauna you wouldn't be with your wife / gf .. but stay there too long in the sauna and some man might make you his wife , if you catch my drift .... tbf it's not quite as bad as that but it does have a reputation , so maybe go to one of the other baths , ... if you are near the Gellert there is a small hill there with an underground church built into a cave that's quite popular
Vienna I was there on Thursday and Friday ... mainly just walked about the place looking at buildings but the Natural history museum was well worth the time we spent in it .... check online but the Spanish riding school is there if it's your thing , fairly sure you have to pre-book that .. you'll be falling over people trying to get you to go see an Mozart recital in the Opera house , I've done it before and it is quite special , but I don't think it's as cheap as it was when I did it back in 1999 !! oh and go to the fun fare from the Third man if you like your iconic film stuff
Great tips, thanks! Itll just be the two of us although Lancelot sounds a good night. Will be sure to feedback after the trip!

Pretty much every sunday league match I play I am hungover. When you get invited to go out and you have a 10am match the next morning, you just can't say no. The match always cures my hangovers, although it's a terrible time getting to the pitch.
Totally the same thing.

So we're all booked up. Tried to fit Prague in but it added about £200 on for an extra day and a half so we'll just try and do it again early next year for a long weekend instead i think. The air-bnbs are dirt cheap in Budapest and look nice quality/areas. Vienna slightly more expensive but still not extortionate.
It'll be Sunday (landing midday) until Wednesday in Vienna and then a train to Budapest with flights back on the Saturday evening. What are the absolute must-do's?
Cant wait to get to Budapest, its been on the list for years so will be a nice one to tick off.

Could be worse. We could be Sunderland

Id be happy if we got a centre back, winger (left) and striker. Don't see any more permanent signings coming in, and I don't think we'll get a cb on loan unless we sell Elphick and even then I'm not sure our kids/cover we have from full backs would be any worse so possibly just the winger to come. If we could only have one then the priority has to be another striker.

So am I right in thinking if we are playing against the 8 clubs currently signed up to this that we will be able to find a stream? (Provided we are absolutely out of this country)

Gutted if this happens. He was a rock last season and finally matured. I would assume its more he wants to leave for first team football but if you had a chance to train/play with Terry for a year surely youd take it and hope to claim the spot the next year.

With hindsight they should have made this free tickets to all season ticket holders and people could have made a donation if they wished. Majority would have and it would have been a great chance to honour him.

Road Trip (2000)
A amusing adventure, comedy film i quite enjoyed, even if it did make me feel old at times
One of my favourite easy watch films. The Hitler scene gets me every time!

My greatest sympathy with the whole thing is with the kid whose parents could have been by his side for the last few months but have seemingly been constantly in meetings trying to prolong his suffering. I think public opinion and support over the last few weeks has turned after they started sagging off GOSH.

Successful weekend including green mile, the nice guys and get out.
Get out was really enjoyable but felt the ending could've been better. One of the alternative endings on the dvd is what I'd have chosen but would still recommend it.

Watching that trailer after justice league is unreal. Marvel look like they've smashed it out the park again.

This new trend of young girls wearing dresses and trainers. It looks ridiculous. I'm pretty sure the transition started when I started going out and people would wear dresses with converse or pumps. Thought it looked ridiculous then. But now, only about 7 years on it's progressed to trainers. Converse or pumps look formal compared to them. Why spend so much time getting ready, to whack on a pair of reeboks to top off the look?

So I uploaded a photo of my dog after he'd chewed up our doormat to imgur yesterday so I could put it on the dogs thread on here as the file was too big. Just had a message saying it's gone viral and has been viewed over 75000 times.
Really wish I'd put a wittier comment than 'doormat'

I wouldnt be able to download steam on my work laptop so would definately need it on our personal one. Plus, i think it would stop any productivity i have left if i had it available at work.

Hope everything goes well Ruge, im sure youll find someone who will love him. If it had been last week i could have passed you onto a woman in my office in Rugeley who lost her staffy earlier in the year and has just rehomed one. Im sure she'd have taken her for you. Ill drop you a message if anything changes for her though! She got her new staffy from a rehoming centre fairly local i think, have you looked into that?
Our boy is 10 months old now. Its crazy how much he has grown. Have to say he is absolutely brilliant. The only blip we had is when he decided i didnt need my brand new marvel doormat and he'd kindly get rid of it for me...

So the Apple mac book hit the floor tonight and the screen has cracked. It's fairly old anyway and we've been putting off getting a new one for a while anyway so it isn't the end of the world.
To be honest all we use it for is basic Internet browsing (villatalk) and steam games (football manager). We occasionally need word and excel but have work laptops we can use for that. Not looking to spend too much, certainly don't want it coming out of holiday budget. Does anyone have any recommendations?

We did Prague a few years ago and fell in love with it, so extending the break by a couple of days and getting to go back is definately an option. Would you recommend two days in each, or i was thinking if we were to do all 3 cities it could be Mon-Wed in budapest with a late train to Vienna, Thursday and Friday in Vienna with a late train to Prague and then a full day in Prague to fly back Sunday morning. As weve done Prague before id rather get more time in the others but would love to go back.
Things that piss you off that shouldn't

Virgin Media. Ive just had to write to their CEO for getting my billing wrong again. Its been going on since this time last year and ive given up even bothering with their customer services. I even have a reply to the last CEO email from last month assuring me it had been sorted...and surprise surprise its wrong again! Where do I go from here if it still doesn't get sorted?
