Ok as it looks like he's turned us down.
We met with Poch last week as I alluded to earlier in the week, he had his full entourage in tow so it looked promising. I only know this through someone who works at the golf club.
I also know someone in the marketing dept but get very little other than the social stuff I mentioned earlier in then week.
Much appreciated, I was only messing around but always interesting to hear how itk comes about.

Football club plays shit football
some people “how dare you suggest our first team coach may have had some influence in that”

Unfortunately don't see us getting a big name. I don't even think I want that much. After a decade of largely woeful managers. I'm quite envious of managers like Vieira, Frank, Marsch etc. Not necessarily world beaters, just competent managers.
I just want a manager who:
1) trains the team into an actual shape and style
2) is at least partially reactive to changes made by opposition managers/teams
3) ideally plays reasonably attractive football
Is that too much to ask? Surely there's someone in Europe we can get who can do that?
Dean Smith?

I was thinking.
Imagine if he does something simple like set them in a formation which plays to their strengths.
Not sure he'd go as far as dropping McGinn though.
Would possibly be interested in seeing McGinn played further forward on the left.
Less.passing responsibility and mor.eopportunity to attack, which he's certainly better at.
The midfield he’s left with atm does make it harder to achieve pretty football, but if he can make us look a threat in one game it would go a long way to repairing trust

Never realised he was a local lad! Pre.match comments.
He’s a Blues agent

If he was at odds with Stevie and he pulls out some actual football at the weekend he can take his get out of jail free card and stay.

We are 2 - 3 wins off mid table IMO.
I'm not sure our season is as " gone " as it currently looks.
One good run changes the picture.
Yeah this was always true when used in defence of Gerrard, it was just patently obvious he was never gonna get it out of the team. New guy can get us in an ok place with a decent run.

He’s playing like he’s afraid to look at his phone after the game because he’s got 48 texts and 6 missed phone calls from his dad.
I don’t see him being lazy or disinterested, just really struggling to get into a groove. He might not be that good, but I don’t think he’s not trying

Genuine question - what's Danks done to upset everyone? I thought he was highly rated (they all are, they all are). Anyway, they might've just stated that he'll be the manager on Sunday because that's the current situation...
Surprised that Critchley has gone already but then it seems like he wasn't as effective as Beale so probably no big loss.
I would've loved to see Deep Cutts get the game.
For me, he was parachuted in for Smith by the club as an in-possession specialist coach. On 1 September 2021. Since then, we went on an awful run with Smith that got him sacked and then we have steadily got worse and worse on specifically the issues that were supposed to be his forte. He’s the first team coach for the worst coached side in the league.
We never know the intricacies of course, but it’s been a downhill journey ever since he walked into Bodymoor.

Couldn't care less who is caretaker manager for what is hopefully 1-2 matches.
They'll get a bounce and we'll get away from the dreaded Gerrard "tactics" at least.
Just a shame it’s the guy who came in during Dean Smith euphoria and coached us to what we see today

It's going to be Beale, isn't it?
That would be absolutely bizarre, I can’t see it in the slightest.

Some of these names sound super unrealistic.
We’ll see very soon though won’t we, I’d be furious if we didn’t try to give ourselves the best chance of mitigating this disaster

Don't need to get rid of him at all. Keepers work away from the rest of the team a lot of the time and from every interview I've heard with Emi he absolutely loves Cuts.
We all say things we regret

Get rid of the lot too. Even Cuts, as much as I love him. Clear slate please.
