The Britannia has just been renamed the Bet365 Stadium.
This kind of thing terrifies me if a takeover does happen.

Am I right in thinking that if we spend £500 million on assembling the best squad in the world next season and get promoted, then FFP means f all unless we get relegated again??
Knowing us we would get relegated again

Eric Black is going to do even more damage to the squad than Sherwood or Remi ever did. He is refusing to play the likes of Grealish, Traore, Kozak, and Okore, but instead Bacuna, Richardson, and Lescott continue to get starts...
My hope is that he played those players because they deserved to be the ones on the pitch when we got relegated, so I'm waiting to see the lineup against Soton before I give any judgement.

Why are we talking about West Brom? Honestly who actually cares about them?

Lerner had lots of interest worldwide last time so now with the bargain price I bet he can pick and choose his buyer. So he will be going for whoever he thinks can get us back fastest and keep us up so whoever comes in will have the resources necessary. Good times.
I don't think Lerner will be too fussed about what happens to us after he sells.

That's my only concern.. Wanda Group is one neat and tidy package.
Not only is Wang Jianlin worth like $32 billion but he owns much of China in real-estate. He owns the AMC Cinema franchise which alone would likely be a great club sponsor and a way for him to inject money into the club without breaching FFP. Not to mention he donated $197 million to charity, and spent $200 million restoring a fountain he liked in Beverly Hills just like that so money isn't an issue for him..
It's a perfect buyer which means for him to be sniffing around these parts is likely not the case, cause we're Aston Villa.
I believe I read that he recently brought an 80m house in London.

Let's pray.
Don't be silly. Good things don't happen for Villa fans.

Apparently BBCWM claimed the interested party were Chinese the other day.
I remember reading something yesterday or the day before on a chinese billionaire being interested but I think it's just wishful speculation

WHERE ARE WE GOING TO PLAY THEM ALL?????!!!!!!!.........
Predominantly Villa Park and various other stadia around England and Wales.
And maybe a few in Spain, Germany, France, Austria and Italy in a few years time.

We're not even first after the opening weekend?
Sherwood out.

Kozak is a conundrum
What is he?
Not a targetman given his size but a poacher he takes his chances well
A benteke replacement who actually moves when he isn't on the ball

I can't see how we can't put him in the starting lineup for bournemouth,
It's got to be him, Adebayor and Ayew up front hasn't it?
-
Does this mean we don't get to boo him really loudly on the 7th november?
-
we need lambert back for it

When do we find out who the ref will be and why am I certain it's going to be Phil Dowd?

Not really a chant but I had a nice chuckle when we cheered ironically after the ref gave a decision in our favour against swansea after spending the whole game giving us nothing

People are overlookng the current away kit. It's one of the nicest kits we've had for years
Disagree. I'm still in love with last years away kit.

Physio Room have Vlaar, Senderos and Baker all due back at the weekend. Surely at least 2/3 will be back in the 18, although I'd imagine match fitness will be an issue as they've been out a while, with the exception of Vlaar.
If we can't have Clark and Okore I think Vlaar and Baker are the best option.

be southampton who win nothing and miss out on champions league or be city and play in CL and win silverware hmm i wonder which i would choose!
I think you kinda missed the point I was making.
I just don't want us picking up a load of plastic fans. I hate Chelsea and City. I don't want to become them.
You don't want success for the club that you support?
I'd take the success, I'd just want us to get there in a more respectable way.
Although I suppose these days that is the only way of getting to the top

I have a pretty good source . Libor is impressing in training, he is liked a lot . I'm
Not saying 4-4-2 would work but it's coming straight from timmys mouth not mine .Wow, if something straight from Timmy's mouth only counts as a "pretty good" source, what would it need to make it "good" or "excellent"?
From God?
McGrath isn't training the squad now, is he?

Give me a Russian despot or an Arab oil man any day of the week to be fair. I've done my time.
P.S. we really haven't fallen very far at all.
I think I disagree with the idea of a sugar daddy
I don't want us ending up like Man City. Playing in a historyless bowl named after an airline with empty seats at champions league matches. I'd much rather be in southamptons shoes.

I think War Pigs would send a better message myself.

I think with Sanchez, it's not so much the volume in which he gives it away, but he's prone to give it away in dangerous areas.
I'm probably making a big mistake by saying this, but SO FAR, none of his lapses has led to a goal, not even in his shocker against Arsenal. It can only be a matter of time though, and I hope we are forgiving when it happens, because he is a good player and apparently a good bloke.
