  1. In each of our next two games draws would suit both teams, and may well happen.
  2. 20/1 is short odds at the start of a season, after 34 games it means the bookies, rightly, think you aren't going down.
  3. And we will get at least another point.
  4. Hull will probably be preparing for the Cup Final when they play us!
  5. We need to hope Southampton are mentally on the beach next week.
  6. Renaming the Doug Ellis would look like an act of pettiness towards a guy who may not be all that much longer for the world. It shouldn't have been given that name in the first place but that is another story. At least there will never be any clamour for a Randy Lerner Stand. To be honest the Ellis years are beginning to feel like a lost golden era...
  7. If we weren't so slow to react, so far behind in ideas and under the management of a custodian who makes mistake after mistake we would not be in a situation where we cannot spend. Other teams with smaller crowds and finance, spend a lot more than us. There is ZERO excuse for the fact we are run with such incredible financial restraints. NO EXCUSES, that we are run like Wigan, or get beaten to Holtby by Fulham, Lukaku to West Brom and that the manager has said he wanted an AM at the beginning of the summer - it never happened - we were always a few players short of where we needed to be and the fault is at the door of Lerner. There are NO EXCUSES for running us like a championship club. Spot on.
  8. Another vote for Rambo's against Millwall from me.
  9. I've lost all respect for him as a player now I have seen that he tweeted "should of" rather than "should have."
  10. Slightly disappointed, thought we'd be comfortable top half after the end to last season. Home form is a let down. Still think we will win a few before the end of the season and don't see us in any danger. We haven't had a lot of luck with injuries this year. When the attacking form clicks we are a decent side. Think there is a decent chance we will tonk someone a la Sunderland last season before the end of this one.
  11. Hi - I'm a long time reader who has finally got round to registering so I can post! Been hooked on the Villa since dad (who was born in Small Heath but still followed The True Faith) took me down in 1978 to see us beat the Blose 1-0 with a goal from Sid. Started going a bit more regularly in the glorious 80-81 season and then began going to every home game from 1986 onwards when me and my mate were old enough to get there under our own steam. Had a Season Ticket in the Lower Holte for as long as there have been seats on it. I live (Tipton) and work (Wolverhampton) in enemy occupied territory. Not sure where we are going at the moment. I've always tried to be a glass half full supporter and to think that the dawn is just over the horizon but keeping the faith has been hard these last 4 years!
