Archer to be bought back, maybe A Ramsey too.
Hopefully Tim I will have shown something in some appearances to be part of the squad.
Why bring Ramsey back he’s not even a regular in a shit Burnley team. Also Archer is hardly justifying a place at an even worse team than Burnley.

There are obviously a few club exceptions but I always laugh when people talk about Anfield like that, even Klopp has commented about it before, even recently
Pleased I made you laugh.

Nope.
You?
Nope, quite happy with the progress the club is making looking forward to continued development in the next couple of seasons that could allow us to have a serious impact on the Champions league rather than do a Newcastle this season. Patience is the key.

The good news is it'll take about 10 mins to tell if we're still playing at a snail's pace.
That happens, I'll be turning the game off. Not watching another painful death by a thousand cuts.
Looking for a new team then ?

Players gave them nothing to get behind in fairness.
Can't expect it to be rocking when they are so passive
2nd half they showed some fight and crowd responded.
I have said this before the Villa crowd is Reactive NOT Proactive, loud when things on the pitch are good silent when they are not. This is not good for the players. The crowd has a huge role to play in getting the team going at difficult times in the game. The crowd at Anfield is a good example of how this works.

Absolutely top drawer young keeper. Has all the attributes but also maturity beyond his years. Will be Australia's no 1 soon enough.
I think if this goes through it will be a loan back deal until next season. Sitting on the bench watching Emi won't do much for him or us.
Training with him and the coaches on a daily basis might however .

We're toast and fill finish 6th or 7th. Can't score, can't defend and losing to these evil rocket polishers is the pits. God I despise every single person associated with Newcastle. Hope all their fans die in agony
Sorry but that last comment is a disgrace.

Ugh. I’m not feeling confident and it’s going to get ugly on here if we don’t win.
Some people on here would love that. How many sets of fans turn ugly when their team is in the top 5 of the premier league ?

Just had a look they are worse than us for negative comments.

Must win for me.
We don't want to fall into the mentality of suddenly thinking draws at home are acceptable and get into that routine as that WILL cost us top 4.
Newcastle have been terrible away from home all season bar that massive win in Sheffield. 5 away points all season and we're getting stick for our away form, we accumulated more away points than them by mid September.
This game being so close to deadline day helps us aswell as have to think they're not going to risk Trippier or Almiron if they're seriously going to sell them 24 hours later to pay the FFP bills.
I'll go for 3-1 this year.
They are not serious about selling them.
just seen Howe on MOTD not so sure now

BBC - Villa take Chelsea to replay.
What champions league placed Villa take mid table Chelsea to a replay? Are they having a laugh
Or recently improved Chelsea who have just got into the Carabao cup final are held to a draw by an Aston Villa team who have faltered in recent matches and are generally seen as being s**t away from home ?

We were rubbish.
Sorry didn’t watch but we didn’t lose so are still in the competition. We could have been brilliant and lost would that have been better? Really don’t get how some followers like to consistently trash the players individually or the team as a whole. Let’s look on the bright side only 4 days before we can slag them all off again.

Yes but it goes on for weeks and weeks and weeks. Why he'll never be a top striker sadly. Top strikers might have 1,2, maybe even 3 off days in a row but not 7-8 games of no shows like Watkins.
So we have a question to answer. It has been said numerous times on here that the team have generally been poor in the last 7-8 games, is that because Watkins has been shit or has Watkins been shit because the team have been below par ?

Sure but he's streaky. When he's off form he's horrendous.
Kind of what “off form” means generally

Worst player on the pitch in the first half, fact!
Doesn’t make him shit, why do you choose to ignore the goals and assists in previous seasons ?

Amazing that a Villa player goes down with a head injury the ref doesn’t stop the game.
We are becoming such victims.

Martha MacPhail made her senior debut last night, and is probably going to have that taken away, with only league games left if we're disqualified, I'm not sure if there will be many more opportunities left for her this season, unless we have an injury crisis, such a shame. Sunderland should have known Martiz was cup tied and said something, maybe they did not in the hope we would bring on, potentially resulting in them being reward the win to their benefit, so i would just let the score stand.
I asked earlier what other ways can we come up with to justify not being thrown out of the competition and you offer this, we should not be thrown out because a young player is going to have her senior debut taken away. You then go on to better this by blaming our opponents , priceless .

Are there any other ways we can come up with to justify us not being kicked out of the competition for not complying with the rules ?

Still think the player has a responsibility to raise the fact she has already played in the competition for another team.

There is previous to this we lost to West Ham in the League Cup on pens in 1999 but they fielded Onoyimni who was eligible. Won the replay I know this as went to both games
Seems Reading got kicked out of the tournament in 2014 for exactly the same thing .

“Lack of defensive depth” we probably have more depth at centre back than any other position in the squad and better than most other squads in the league.. Yes the players get weaker as you move down the 5 but Carlos and Lenglet still isn’t a disastrous option.
