Yes - But the reason I wanted Bruce is he is a straight talking no nonsense guy - 'time' is for managers or 'build structures' 'lay foundations' whatever that means. I wanted Bruce because purse and simple because I beeive he will get us winning games quickly. Theres no grace period it starts saturday.....3pts please...

Were you listening to GAry Rowett on the phone to alan brazil this morning?

The crowd turn quick no matter who is in charge.

I don't really but the sentiment in this, as if to say our fans have no patience and are particularly bad.

We've been served some right trash for so long, the crowd has been justified...and really no different to other fans.  We've had our expectations set high whilst being served dross, bordering petulance from our players and the managers have been clueless to do anything to stop it.

Ultimately the buck stops with the manager, and when you're given the most to spend in the league whilst poaching that leagues best talent the have to do better than rdm.

As soon as consistent improvements start to surface the crowd will be right inside.  Until then rightfully not...

The most important word in this sentence is was " Have to state again that our decision was nothing due to impatience "

That last bit just reads like someone saying "don't get upset but..." as if being somewhat apologetic for the choice.

    Hope not.

  4. If we get this right, remember we  have an owner that is willing to spend in January as well...it could be the biggest turnaround of the century.

It needs to be someone quite special, but have no idea who...I don't think any of the names mentioned thus far.

Nothing could be more boring than not winning every week for 5 years and the ensuing "banter" directed towards us by fans of other clubs / bookies / train companies.

You kind of took the words out of my mouth, it couldn't get anymore "boring"...

It's almost as if one of the main news outlets for speculation on this market ALSO owns a bookies who they reference when reporting the speculation.

In my eyes, morally reprehensible. I can't help but admire the brass-necked genius of it, though.

Whatever could you be insinuating ;)

Right it looks like Bruce is odds on. Now I know this market can be moved easily but RDM, Garde and Sherwood were all the only manager's that becomes odds on before being appointed. That said OGS become odds on before we appointed Lambert.

    I want Wagner! :(

Odds like this are moved purely on what is being lumped on, computer assisted to ensure the bookie always wins...lower the odds on popular markets to ensure the payout doesn't exceed the total takings/etc.

I know this has all been said before, but most of the time this is all it is and people lump on pure speculation.  Twatter rumours fuel customers and odds change / etc.

Rarely is there any privy info with the bookies, sometimes punters get lucky and there is the possibility that odds are moving because punters got a lucky tip off but that is unusual.

D1 He was not my choice, but Hey who is right for us....I was prepared like any other candidate to give them a chance.

However, If there is a shout of a bomb in the building....you don't just stroll out.....you leg it.

for what I have seen with my own eyes from players on match day......"there is a bomb in the building"

And this bomb never went off with a bang, just caused destruction.

Notice period maybe? Though still strange

Could also have been waiting to be ratified by Round coming in.

Everything done through correct channels and structure, making it water tight that there is no come back on us just sacking him off?

Perhaps instead of being fearful that their own unprofessional and selfish actions might be called out in future, we can create a culture at this club where that doesn't happen?

The previous owner allowed a 'me first' culture to flourish, this one has attempted to stamp that out. He takes no shit. You can say he's going about it the wrong way, fair enough, but you should also balance that by giving him credit for attempting to change a player power mindset that has saddled this and many other clubs for far, far too long.

I am 110% behind the owner on this one, regardless of whether the methods he employs always sit well with my sensibilities or not. The wasters and the chancers can jog on. We're not having it any more.

^ What he said, with you man.

I must be going soft in my old age.

If he proves his fitness, trains hard and we get injuries then I have no issue with him playing for the club,

He could very quickly reprise himself, and turn it all around.  It's even probably not to late to do that, the sad truth is he won't...that's what hurts most.
