I'm sure that people will be blaming Lambert for Okore's mistake. They're idiots.

Possibly same people who've been giving him grief for not putting Grealish on - who gave ball away before pen.

It was Gabby who gave the ball away for their goal...

    It was Richardson actually !

I don't think you are correct.

  2. I guess Gabby counts as loyalty in football and lots of fans didn't want us to offer him a new deal. Delph deserves better than us, I'd be gutted if he goes but I won't begrudge him or Vlaar for leaving.

  3. I'm still **** livid, way more so than the QPR result. Unlike that we actually played well and were **** over by a diabolical refereeing performance. That isn't to say Benteke is completely innocent, but neither is Mason.

Despite yet another defeat I'm a lot more confident about the team now than I was after QPR. Obviously it remains to be seen whether we can continue performances like that but there is hope.

The trouble is I think there is a strong correlation with us playing well, as we did today, and Benteke playing well at the same time. I think we will really struggle without him for the next 3 games at a time when we and Lambert need him most.

  4. He's pretty much got everything right in the last couple of games and been let down by individual errors. When the luck deserts you and you weren't in a great position to start with, then things get tough quick. I worry for him if we lose the next two, even in our rather odd situation.

I felt the QPR game he got things far from right.

I can't agree that Spurs didn't look like scoring, we were wide open first half.

We address that issue as the game progressed to be fair.

Perhaps, shame we couldn't from corners where Spurs had already had a free header (Kane).

  6. As I've said already, I don't blame Lambert for the lost today but he really needs to go. We are in dire form and the way we have lost today, including having no Benteke, will have severally damaged any remaining confidence. I really worry for us this season under Lambert. Teams who were around us last year, like West Ham, Hull, Swansea and West Brom have all improved or at least have the potential to improve (Hull's signings etc). This really leaves us with the hope that the 3 promoted teams, Sunderland and Palace do worse than us. That is pretty depressing.

I also think it is inevitable that Vlaar and Delph will leave us at the end of the season, which undoes any work Lambert went about re-building a new team. We will have to start over again and why would there be any faith that he could manage that task when he is currently failing?

I think even Pullis would be a better option, even just for the new manager boost, but I'd hope we could do better. It is not an unrealistic assumption that we will lose our next two games, which would make it an incredible 8 losses in a row. A part of me really thinks that Lerner would never fire Lambert, I'm just clinging onto the hope that Fox may step in to try an push the club forward.

  7. I can't defend him at all for his red card, cost us the 3 points today. I've only seen the incident once but he barged Mason originally, then took a right footed swipe which was worse than what he did after. It was as soft as a hand to the face red card you'll see but he should never have put the referee in that position to make the decision.

It is a real shame as he looked fantastic first half and we'll really miss him in the next 3 games which I think ultimately, will be more of a nail in the coffin for Lambert than todays result was.
