  1. Just watched Sucker Punch. Didn't think it could be as bad as the reviews made out. I was right, it's worse.

What a pile of crap that was. How the hell has it grossed 90mill.

Watched about 40 mins myself, awful film.

Strange one because i know Snyder can make a brilliant film and tell a story, Watchmen was fantastic, 300 was great and Dawn of the dead was pretty good aswell.

Prime example of style over substance.

  2. Yep, Commando definitely comes under the 'Fantastic Rubbish' banner. Particularly love Vernon Wells OTT/camp performance.

    "LET OFF SOME STEAM, BENNETT!!!"

One of my favourites among many....

Cindy: Can you tell me what this is all about?

Matrix: Yeah, a guy I trusted for years wants me dead.

Cindy: That's understandable. I've only known you for five minutes and I want you dead, too

  3. It better be Moyes or Hughes.

Personally Moyes would be my first choice out of realistic options, obviously you would take the ancelottis and hiddinks of this world but they are never comnig to villa park so moyes first for me.

Hughes having worked with some big egos at man city and seemingly having the passion to win things in football is the obvious second choice in my opinion.

Mclaren is the biggest joke ive heard in ages, i would honestly take curbishley over him.

  4. I think one of the factors of varying reviews is possibly people who have seen the bourne films.

Personally ive never bothered with them at all, mainly because i don't like matt damon, but i thought unknown was a great film.

  5. Unknown:

Watched this yesterday...**** superb. Good shout slovenian :thumb:

Ahem, posted a day before Slovenian.

    Watched Unknown last night.

Really recommend it, quite similar to taken in the way that you only know as much as the main character (liam neeson) knows, i think this works really well here and its a fast paced ride with a somewhat original story.

Oh and Diane Kruger is stunning (inglorious and troy)

    8/10 from me.

  6. Watched Tucker and Dale myself last night, its all the rage at the moment!

Very interesting concept but i felt it went against the grain so much that the finished product almost didn't feel like a complete film. I felt like i didn't really feel emotionally connected with any of the characters and as a result of that i didn't really care what happened next.

Basically a very interesting concept not quite executed imo 6/10.

  8. just watched bad lieutenant, really dont see the fuss, got some really good reviews but i dont know how, yes cage is good in it but being cage is still as annoying as **** but for me the biggest flaw is the flick of a switch ending, just utter bullshit IMO

Pretty much agree with that, couldn't believe what i was watching at times, cage is off the bloody wall.

  9. Don't get twitter at all.

Feel like im slightly too old to get excited by the likes of facebook and twitter, i was msn'ing and yahoo chatting about 10 years ago, i got all that shite out of my system back then.

    Don't care anymore.

  10. Definitely. Watching Shawshank Redemption (again) last night proved that all that is needed is a solid story and a good director.

Watching it in HD for the first time last night aswell was amazing. Love that film.

Agreed, what a film, nothing will ever touch it imo.

One of the few films where you really can't fault any of it.

  11. Lets look at the cold hard facts here.

    1. Our defence is a shambles, keep luke young, keep cuellar, keep clark, clear out the rest, dunne and collins both had a point to prove last year, this year they are coasting and it shows, both very average players and without any real motivation certainly not good enough for a premier league club who wants to trouble the top 6.

    2. Our management team is a shambles - get rid of houllier and most certainly get rid of mcallister. Tactic sare horrible at the moment, defence always out of place, cant defend or do anything remotely positive from corners. Also can't remember the last time we scored from a through ball, has there been one this season? Honestly the last one i can remember was when maloney scored against chelsea in that 4 - 4 draw, im probably exagerating big time here but they are so rare!

    3. Get anything against Wigan and we are safe. Awful season, lets just put it past us and move on, hopefully next season will mean a new outlook. If Houllier stays in charge we have a load of obscure french players to look forward to.
