I love him, a true professional and a role model in the way he goes about his work. He remindes me a bit of Southgate.

Let’s hope he doesn’t express his desire to play for a bigger club and move to oh lets say middlesbrough!

Well according to man himself, our very own Gary Gardner was considered the bigger talent when they were coming through. Of course injuries had their say in who actually broke through and made a name for himself, but it really did help Wilshere that he was at Arsenal's academy and not ours for example.

The hype around Wilshere was that he was an English midfielder who could pass and move and fit in Arsenal's system.. Really that was it. That's more of an indictment of English football/academies to be fair to him though.

I can't remember a young English midfielder or any player for that matter coming through that possesses the technical skill that Jack does. His touch, awareness, balance, dribbling, vision etc for someone so young (think he was about 17 when breaking through) were unreal. I'm really surprised (and glad!) that more hasn't been made of him in the English press.

This it what worries me If he ever makes it to the England national team the hype and pressure they put on theese young players is unreal.

  3. Evrey time hes dropped back to that deep midfield position he’s looked better it’s definitely his position ,but hes low workrate defensively makes him a liability in this position  its a shame really ,kids has bags of ability not good enough for spurs would be an ideal permanent transfer if he could kick on to fulfill his potential ,next year were gonna be a very old team wich is worrying especially if we go up!

It sounds bonkers saying it, but he was criminally underrated IMO.  Obviously always seen as a very talented player but somehow not regarded (or, certainly not among people I know) as one of the greatest of all time.

I remember watching his Clasico at the Bernabeu (think it was 3-0 to Barca).  After his second goal - and both were great - there was a brilliant bit of footage of Casillas just shrugging.  It was spot on, too - unstoppable.

Unfortunately, there's not a player in the World like him at the moment.

True better than Messi I think The old Ronaldo gets the same treatment to a degree

I'm still dumbfounded when I think back to how many times I've read that we should of let Jack go in the past.

He's still got a way to go, but he's finally starting to look like the player we all know he can be.

Yes me too we all seem to forget that we let homegrown players got in the past and have gone on to do well for themselves at a higher level!

    New contract?

Consistency is difficult for young player were all to quick to judge look at grelaish now, He's been close to scoring some really good goals a bit unlucky to be fair , his confidence has to take a hit from beign droped and failing to find the net but on the other hand he shouldn't have been burdened with so much responsibility earlier on this season.

He isn't a prolific goal scorer and doubt he ever will be. Now that isn't a problem in itself, there are many strikers that aren't prolific but are considered good strikers based on the offer things they offer.

When Davis first broke into the team his hold up play and eagerness to win the ball back made him a very important player. That seems to have vanished from his game recently and need to return quickly, because at the moment he is offering absolutely nothing.

    Worrying.

    Tiredness ,Confidence?

  8. We always talk about his wobbly years but honestly what did we expect in the mess we were over the past years, we finally have a bit of stabilty in terms of manager ownership ect professionals at the club Terry Jedi Snodgrass ect a diffrent manager rubbish players and a toxic environment was not going to aid his career,  we were linkied with Coutinho under Lambert imagine if he did sign him back then,I doubt he would have developed into a £140 million player he would probably be in the same boat as Adama!

Our squad lacks some serious grafters and hard workers, i would take hard work over ability any day. Leicester are a prime example, they all work hard for each other and have a fantastic attitude.

A part of me wants us to be relegated, and get rid of the Gabby's and co then bring some energetic, hard working players that know the championship and have a very strong desire to play for us. We could get some real quality from that league because we would the largest club in that league.

I would also love if we made our pitch smaller so we could play at a higher tempo and really make things difficult for the opposition.

Shame we sold some youngsters such as johnsson ,graham , carrutharers that eiuld make a difference for us there

  10. I think Sanchez had no desire if I was on a loosing side there is no way I wouls go down and waste time like he did with what? 6 mins to go? Baby ,guttless bunch of loosers, Ayew gives his all sometimes to selfish, verretout I think is doing his all for the manager not the club, gana is nothing like he was start of season lost his desire  and looks disinterested, okore, hutton, richards all have desire and a good attitude ,sinclair for all the haters has done well inmo last games, gil is the perfect professional after all the crap this club had put him through keeps turning up same as hutton really.   The rest are just here to pick a wage

  11. If we were taken over by a oil rich billionaire how you feel ifall the players were replaced by world class golacticos no guzan in the squad benteke bench warming? Do you think our identity would be lost, look at citeh long gone are the days if shaun goater a cult hero there for a period, citeh legends are now vincent kompany and augero ( rightfully so) . What if the stadium was re named the holte end renamed everey tradition our club carries lost would you swap it all for succses?
