  1. I missed his appearance as turned off when they scored their second, a shame he made his debut in such a loss, but he will probably now get a better loan next season than he otherwise would have done, just by virtue of having played for our first team, so that should be a postive for him, of course man not saying he's suddenly going to get a Championship move, but maybe now more League Two teams or even a League One team will take a look

  2. I watched him on a number of occassions for Forest before he was converted to right-back, and he was never really a 'winger', he was more of a right-sided midfielder, and he wasn't very good, it was being converted to rightback that brought out the best in him, if that hadn't have happened I don't think he would have got a move out of the Championship

  3. Frustrating and weird thing is, if we were to play them again I would be more confident of beating them than I was before the actual games that we did play, despite them beating us 6-2, because they weren't great either, they looked like a lower midtable Premier League team, if we'd have played anyhwere near as well as we can do then we would have won both ties comfortably

  4. I thought we were poor in both ties, surprised anyone thought we played well tonight, it reminded me of the Sheffield United game at Villa Park, them letting us have the ball (which is what I think is tricking some into thinking we played well) but other than a few isolated moments us never looking like we were actually going to do anything with it, and there was so much sloppiness, I lost count of the amount of times our attacks broke down because of unforced errors, incredibly frustrating, we just didn't play well

  5. He's improved a lot since coming back from injury, previously he was obviously very talented on the ball, but would seem he would wait for the game to come to him rathr than the other way around, now he gets much more involved I would be surprised if he got a loan straight to the Bundesliga though, would be doing well to get a Championship loan, I would have thought maybe League One more likely initially

  6. It's easy to forget how young Feeney and Sousa are, for a first loan and at such a young age, even more so for a central defender, Feeney has done fine, for him it's just about getting some experience playing senior minutes at any level in preperation for the next step up.

Sousa had only just turned nineteen and he went straight to the Championship for his first loan, that's an achievement in of itself, our only other academy players to get loans straight to the Championship have been Philogene and Iroegbunam, and those two were older than Sousa, the others who have had Championship loans had work their way up from a lower level first, so for him to get the minutes he did was a good achievement

Rico Richards also did well to come from where he did to get a decent amount of minutes for Stockport, their fans seemed to like him too, or at least I had seen them naming him in their line-ups that would like to see before games, he's actually in the video the club posted today training with the first team, I think Emey and the coaches taking a look at him and Barry

  7. We might not need Manchester City to do us a favor or for us to beat Liverpool, if Burnley beat Spurs before those games then we will have already qualified for top four, Burnley need a win to avoid relegation and are actually in better form than Spurs over the last six or so games. That said I do hope we win at least one more regardless of what Spurs do, as would be nice to finish on at least seventy points

  8. Maybe Wrexham  will try and sign him, failed with Vardy, but Albrighton perhaps more realistic, he's probably still good enough for Championship, but if Wrexham build a team good enough to challenge for promotion would give him oppo to end on an high

  9. Such is the position we left ourselves in, we could play well, get a good win, and still not go through. Frustrating thing is in the first leg when we came forward we looked more than capable of scoring past them, if we'd have only controlled the game better it would have been comfortable win If there was only one goal in it I would still think we have a very good chance, but with their two goal advantage, just one more goal for them and it's probably game over.We need to hope for similar outcome to the AZ away game, two early goals and then it was comfortable for us, even though I think they had very good home record at the time

  10. We need one more attacker in addition to the attackers we already have.

Presuming Zaniolo departs, that leaves Ramsey, Rogers, Buendia, Diaby, and Bailey

If Baena was to sign, it could be seen as Rogers, and Ramsey as left sided options, Diaby and Bailey right sided, and Buendia and Baena for the No.10 role

So two players for each position and with them having the ability to play each others' positions, Rogers can play as a number ten for example

I'm not even sure we will sign an attacker to come straight into the first team, might be another Rogers type, to replace Zaniolo as squad player

I think Kellyman and Young will be out on loan, so Broggio and Jimoh-Aloba in the year below can replace those two as the academy attackers on the periphery of the squad

  11. Some of their fans on their forum are talking about the likes of Röhl and Corberán as if realistic possibilities, probably the two most highly rated coaches in the Championship other than McKenna at the moment, not sure they would have stood a chance of either of those, even if they had have stayed up, also seen Moyes mentioned as a 'feasible' option

They're mostly all turning their nose up at the idea of Rowett returning, as seem to think he doesn't play the kind of attacking football that will get them out of League One, and I guess ultimatley failed to keep them up whilst only being able to draw with the likes of Huddersfield and Rotherham, and apparently set them up very negativley in both games

But overall Rowett's points return wasn't too bad, averaged out over a season I think would 63 points which would have been good enough for tenth, they actually didn't lose any of their last four, taking eight points from those games, so form wise at least was kind of a strong finish to the season, going into those last four games they were just one point from safety, so most would have presumed another eights points would have been enough to keep them up

  12. He will probably end up at Atalanta or Palace, Wolves were linked with him as well. There's already talk of other clubs watching Wharton, so Palace might look to bring in James as another option and eventual replacement

  13. Jordan James, only nineteen but already has ninety-five Championship appearances, and ten caps for Wales, box-to-box midfielder, good all rounder, been consistently linked with Palace for those that like their recruitment, also nearly joined Atalanta in January who I think also have a good rep for recruitment, wouldn't be too expensive either, as is moving into the last year of his contract, and they will probably have to settle for less being a League One team now

  14. Crystal Palace aren't anything special, they're just a midtable team who are having a little good run, which is what midtable teams do, they have good runs and bad runs, always amazes me that people always seem to think these runs will last forever, they never do, Palace aren't suddenly world beaters, if we play anything like we're capable of then we should beat them

  15. None of the Play-Off teams go into them on form, Norwich and Southampton are twelfth and thirteenth over the last six games, West Brom sixteenth, and Leeds twenty-second, they all won just one of their last four games.

  16. I had a look on Tottenham forum and their equivalent of this thread, and none of them are even talking about finishing fourth, it's all about what they have to do to avoid being caught by Newcastle, Manchster United or Chelsea.
