  1. Gollini - 8 - Impressive apart from the single mis-kick.

Hutton - 5 - Same as last year. Skinned by Foresteiri multiple times, including getting turned around. Get rid

Baker - 7 - Not bad, his job was to win headers which he did

Elphick - 8 - Good debut. Proper leader

Cissokho - 6 - Same as last year. Defends decently, only thing he has going forward is kick & chase

Bacuna - 6 - At least on the wing he can't do much damage and occasionally delivers good service

Westwood - 4 - Didn't even notice he was playing until his missed chance around 70 mins. Complete passenger

Gardner - 5 - Unlike Westwood was actually involved in the game. Same quality of output though (zero).

Ayew - 7 - Good going forward, poor defensively (but not surprising out of position)

McCormack - 7 - Good movement off the ball, looked most likely to score

Gestede - 5 - What's the point of playing him if we don't will supply him with crosses?

Tsibola - 6 - Looked good on the ball, actually played balls forward. Caught out a few times but just needs more game time

Grealish - 7 - Linked up well with Aly a few times. Looked smooth as always

Green - Not really on long enough

    Not at all.

I just think he's slightly less abhorrent than Clinton. You're asking me which steaming pile of turd I want as figurehead of the most powerful nation on earth.

Honestly, close your mind to the spoon-fed media and do some proper research into the woman. Money laundering, corruption, lies, deceit. This is a person who stored highly classified documents on a server her basement, knowing full well she was breaking the law. Then lied about it to the FBI. She accepts £250k a pop for delivering speeches to powerful corporations but refuses to make public the content of these speeches. Assuming they were ever delivered. Oh and her husband is a rapist, never mind Trumps missus and their issues.

She should be in prison, not running for president.

    OT FTW!

Tbf, I'm ok with a corrupt money launderer being President. That's probably in line with half of all politicians in the free world, including the UK.

It's the second coming of Hitler that I'm a bit uncomfortable about...

i must have missed something. Did he call Clark a snake for leaving, thats pretty low if true, even worse than the Holloway tweet.

he might be shit but he always gave 100%

No, he said something like "D becomes G", and some twitter douche interpreted it to be a reference to Delph and Gana. Never mentioned Clarke.

I'm starting to think that even if there was an FA sanctioned nationwide transfer embargo this summer people would still complain that RDM and Xia aren't doing enough to get players in.

You're only just starting to think this? It's been modus operandi on this forum for nearly twenty years

I really worry about DTX, he just comes across as incredibly naive.

Certainly not surprising re: social media considering he's used to living in China where people deal with each other with a little bit more civility and respect than some of the bottom feeders on twitter etc in the UK.

We have a huge squad. Why do we have 3 LBs and no sign of outgoings. 2 poor RBs and no sign of getting rid of them? 5 CBs...and again no sign we want to get rid of any of them.

I would have at least expected us to get rid of some of this shit by now to make way...

    Give it a rest...it's **** repetitive

    Possible Starting  XI:

    ......................Gollini.........................

    .........Okore...Elphick...Clark............

    .Gardner..............................Amavi..

    ................Gana.......Tish.................

    .....................Veretout.....................

    .......Kodjia (£6.5mil)...Ayew..............

Exchange Veretout for Grealish/ Gil/ Ravel Morrison/ Tom Carroll/ AN Other playing 2 behind a lone stiker

Exchange Clark for Baker or new boy Cunningham - he played on the left of a back 3 for PNE

I know it was fashionable at the Euros, and Conte is here now but I find it unlikely we'll play 5 with wingbacks

    Di Matteo has been talking about reducing the squad now (I hope that doesn't mean he's finished buying) so who gets the chop? I think the easiest thing to do is look at having two players for each position and then seeing where we're at;

    GKs Gollini (& Bunn)

    LBs Amavi (& Bennett)

CBs Okore (& Clark) and Elphick (& Baker)

    RBs NEW PLAYER (& Hutton)

DMFs Tshibola (& Westwood) and NEW PLAYER (& Gardner)

AMFs Grealish (& Traore) and NEW PLAYER (& Sinclair)

STs Ayew (& Gestede) and NEW PLAYER (& Gabby)

So, by my reckoning, we need four first team players with those in brackets able back ups for various formations and injuries. That's 22 players, throw in the likes of Petrov, Richards and youth players and I think we're set.

So sales could be Guzan, Cissokho, Lescott, Sanchez, Bacuna, Gueye, Veretout, Gil and Kozak. The sales of these players should easily pay for the four first team players we need and reduce wages. I know there are a few names that are controversial but Richards and Sinclair will hold their own in the Championship as back up, and Gabby also might find his level. On the sales side, Gueye, Veretout and Gil might get defended but their sale values are too high to justify keeping them when they've shown so little. This is a squad for the Championship.

Given recent media stories, I'd suggest Sinclair, Westwood and Traore are more likely to leave than some you've suggested like Veretout, and Kozak.

Just been chatting to a Chelsea supporting mate that said RDM speaks fluent English, Italian, French, German and Spanish. I often wonder if instructions get lost in translation sometimes - Sherwood decided it was too hard to even attempt to communicate with Veretout for instance.

Plus it should help new players like Gollini settle in a bit quicker.

This is true of most Swiss tbh, kind of unavoidable when a country has 4 official languages.

But agreed, will definitely help squad relations.

5.5 mill a lot of money almost what we paid for Delph who was a lot more experienced at that level

Lets hope he turns out to be decent like he was

That was 2 TV deals ago

Hate's a bit strong. Yes he was unbelievably shit but at least he kept his mouth shut and head down unlike some of the other wasters last year. Hopefully he finds a team in League One or Championship that better fits his level...

  13. Everyone chill the **** out, the transfers will happen.

We are down the pecking order now and there are so many cogs in the chain, so we need to wait eg.

For Chelsea to sign Morata before they will loan us Bamford. 2 sets of agents, 3 clubs involved, lawyers, the FA, medicals, blah blah blah... these things aren't done overnight.

Its taken us 2 weeks to sign a kid from Reading and that's still not even complete yet.

Our signings will be castoffs from PL teams so we need to wait for the higher teams to sign their players.

Our sales will be teams looking to squad positions (eg. Richards -> Sunderland) so again we will need to wait to see what budget they have left over at the end of the window.

    tl;dr - don't hold your breath

But if you look up his record he is barley a championship player. - He made I believe 23 appearances for Hartlepool in the division below.  And round about 15 for reading last season - Don't know how true it is - but I have heard he only completed 90 minutes on 3 occasions last season.

£5m up front looks a massive fee to me - esp given his injury record as well.

    His appearances last year:

Yet the fact that he is STILL top scorer would suggest the problems far outweigh Gabby. lol.

There were some seasons where he was pretty much a winger also, and also contributed by way of assists, pulling defenders out of position, key passes and hassling etc. People exaggerate way too much, to say he has done NOTHING for almost a decade is frankly farcical.

Is it coincidence that his form suffered along with the rest of the team being absolute shite, or is it a one man game?

Some of you lot remind me of my mother who only sees football on the news and is convinced Messi is overhyped because Argentina never win the finals.

Either way, it is CLEAR that some of us will never agree on this "FAR LEFT and FAR RIGHT".

Kudos to the few who are actually objective and don't post crap just for effect.

Just because I have a lower tolerance for the dickhead behaviour of some footballers, than others doesn't mean I'm posting crap for effect.

I'll happily forgive most of the others as the relegation season was a "blip" in some careers. Gabby is a step too far for me.

    There's no harm in it.

It's just frustrating that some scrote on Twitter will just invent something and you'll have 10 posters in here pouncing on it.

You may as well be discussing a player a homeless man shouted at you in the street.

TBH its no different from the Express or the Mail completely fabricating a transfer story which we then all talk about. Same shit, different source.

I agree with you useless, I think he's a very good, young striker with scope to improve

I agree. He's got some silky touches and lethal in the box when in the right team. Hopefully he can find a team to settle down in rather then the 6 months loans here and there and then will hit his potential.
