because its not his job to decide who is or isnt his coach and then when doesnt get away he wants out

some idiot becomes my boss at work I dont go crying about it I just suck it up and get on with it

And that is why you will be stuck working for bellends for the rest of your life mate.

As the saying goes "change your job or change your job"

Anyway that's by the by, I still don't see a big problem, truth hurts sometimes

This to me is utterly staggering that either of these players individually either match or better our entire midfield added together.

Signing them both would totally transform our midfield beyond all recognition. Those stats for Hourihane particularly show how important a signing he would be for us.

With 14 assists between them surely even one more of our strikers might get a couple.

Obviously nothing ever transmits exactly like you hope but surely,  surely they can't both turn up here and be failures with those stats?

I also love how Jedinak gets slated for being shit on the ball and he completes TWICE as many passes at a comparable success rate to both Westwood and Gardner.

    Utter passengers

But who is in a job - with more experience and promotions than Bruce ?

Wagner looks like he's out of the picture. I can't see compo being paid for someone whose track record isn't as good as Bruce..

The only feasible (at a push)  manager I would pay for would be Dyche.

Steve Bruce doesn't have a good track record. Relegated as often as promoted.

    Unbelievable

did it eventually get better under McCock Lambert Sherwood Garde or Black.?

We need someone with balls as big as Mourinho's ego and he needs to hit the ground running

    anything less is time wasting

Mate, you live in a fantasy world where there is immediate gratification (ie. a solution to the club's disorganization over an entire decade, instant results, instant pretty football etc).

Good things take time in the real world.

Strikers are sorted, defence is decent but with tish possibly being injury prone the back up optons jedinak aside, leave us struggling.

Flamini is a free agent and would be an upgrade on Westwood and Gardner, surprised we didn't get another strong CDM in the window

Flamini signed for Palace the other day

We were excellent in lots and lots of ways, we really were - RDM has Ayew and Grealish working hard and we're an absolute handful going forwards - we could have scored six or seven today - Ayew was outstanding, a step above this division (Happy Birthday Jordan) and we looked like scoring every time we went forward.

Forest didn't look like they'd attack - it's not a tactical thing today, it's not the managers fault, it's not down particularly to any individual - it's a freak result, a mugging - Forest won't believe their luck. This should have been a very straight forward win.

It wasn't, we've conceded a late equaliser and we're 17th and it feels crap. I get that, but this team is going to beat a lot of other teams this year and we're going to score a lot of goals.

Gollini (7) - did everything well enough until his injury. The injury could have been avoided, the flag had been up a long, long time and if the referee had blown his whistle earlier the collision wouldn't have happened.

De Laet (7) - looks solid enough - like Hutton without the slightly ragged edge.

Elphick (7) - Never overly troubled and helps keep everyone else calm

    Chester (7) - Solid citizen

Cissokho (7) - He's having a very decent start to the season, he looks balanced both going forward and in defence - I was worried about him before the season started; less so now.

Westwood (6) - struggled to get any real control on things.

Gardner (7) - in the first half, along with Ayew he was our best player, he did a lot of things right today and although I think the change was the right one given the circumstance, there seem to be an awful lot of people judging Gary Gardner on the idea that's he's Gary Gardner rather than the performances in front of them.

Ayew (9) - a threat all day, runs into space, takes four defenders with him and then lays it off - he pulls defences all over the place, is aa threat in behind and holds the ball up well

Grealish (7) - just off his best, but constantly involved and a threat.

McCormack (7) - Not quite sure he's completely settled into a role, but he links it well and knows where the goal is.

Kodjia (7) - physical, quick and keen to get onto the end of things - he looked promising.

    Subs

Bunn (5) - looked nervous with the ball at his feet and didn't get near either shot.

Gestede (8) - did really well in the air, scored a good goal and was really positive, urging on Kodjia in particular and trying to make things happen.

I know it sounds wrong, but we were very good today, a pleasure to watch for much of the game, we looked comfortably the better side and never looked like we'd do anything but win - even at 2-2 with three minutes left, I was surprised we didn't score.

Just a freak result with loads of positives.

Move on and beat some teams.

Generally agree but Westwood was his usual 4 and Bunn 0 (2 shots on target for 2 goals effectively is a contribution of zero).

Whoa hold your horses partner.  Erdington isn't some kind of late 70's New York ghetto. Isn't his dad some kind of top research scientist?   It's not exactly a rags to riches story.

I grant he earned his money in the early days but I really really begrudge any single penny he has had from this club in the last 3 years.

His Dad (Samson) has a PhD in metallurgy and works as a consultant. Not quite a banker but not exactly slumming it either...

  8. This "silent majority" that apparently still back him... Have to say I'd be a little surprised. Birmingham Mail ran a poll during Shish-gate and it certainly didn't show a great deal of love out there...

Can mods setup a poll on here and we'll know just how "major" this majority is...

But he did give it to the striker 6 yards out to tap in?

It was awful goalkeeping. Keepers aren't coached to be shit, mate.

He didn't though did he mate? You understand the difference between dropping and pushing? He parried it hard and it should have gone well clear.

You have your opinion and that's fine but I'm telling you that's what goalkeepers are coached to do these days. If you can find a goalkeeper that can hold a bouncing ball 100% then congratulations you've just found the next Ballon dOr, sign him up.

    It was indeed.

It was also unfortunate that his clearance smashed straight into the Huddersfield player then our goal, oh and unfortunate that he sliced a clearance straight to an opposition attacker the other week too... All this in the space of a month or so is unfortunate.

Maybe "unfortunate" isn't the right word.

The two miskicks are 100% his fault. Hasn't really done anything wrong IMO since then.

Are they coached to parry it directly to the opposing forward? Don't think so. Face it, it was a mistake.

Yep correct. If you read my earlier post I said he should have pushed it further towards the sideline. I also blame Amavi for being asleep with the rebound and De Laet letting him come inside unchallenged to get a pissy mishit shot away.

I just don't subscribe to this bullshit I'm reading here recently that he's rubbish and needs to be dropped.

Should have held the first, pushed it round the post. It was awful. All game he didn't come to claim one cross, I know, I was there.

You can stick up for him all day long but ultimately you know full well we're taking a massive gamble with this fella.

I don't rate him at all.

You know keepers are coached to parry bouncing balls don't you mate? Because if they try to catch it they will in likely spill the ball in the 6 yard box for a striker to tap in.
