Friedel's save from Bilyaletdinov was fantastic though - no idea how he held onto it.

Yeah the referee was poor, it wasn't an even contest as Everton got the majority of 50/50 decisions. They targeted Milner a lot in the game and Gabby. The linesman's decision to award Everton the free kick which resulted with them scoring was a poor decision.

Everton created little bar the goals they scored from set pieces, I still maintain the first was dubious. People on here love to harp about how poor our strikers are, Yakubu was shocking and Saha (no goals in 8 games) was poor again. Us and Everton are both well matched teams, I fail to see our season ending when we can still very much secure a top 6 finish again.

Everton did target Milner throughout the game which seemed to work.

I can't see how bringing on the Fonz was a reactive change made of desperation, we were chasing the game and sacrificed our left back and it paid off in the end - lucky yes but so were Everton.

In before the overreactions. A draw was a fair result in the end as we had enough chances to score in the first half, lets not forgot Everton were the form side coming into the game and we had to get over the FA Cup. Really pulsating first half Everton were very fortunate to be leading 1- after a dubious free kick and Cahill's foul on Dunne went unchallenged. But for some reason players like Downing were pretty average second half, credit to MON for bring the Fonz on as a positive change as we really had to go for it in the end. This isn't the end of our season by any means, probably forth place but we can still consolidate fifth or sixth as we both Liverpool and Everton have played more games than us. Lovely ball in by Ash for the equaliser and by Milner for Gabby's goal - shame most of our crossing was pretty average.

Everton are just fortunate the referee missed Cahill's shirt pull to get ahead of his man to score, and the free kick before that Warnock won the ball.

In fairness you've got to put it down to a good save sometimes.
