Think he would have done - otherwise why go out on loan.

24 appearances across competitions is a lot for a loan player who was best going to be 4th choice.

We finished the season off with a wonderful comeback against Liverpool and we've got eleven first teamers out injured in a game that is frankly a bit of a nuisance - something the players have to get done before they go out in London tonight - against a team that are the third best in the league at the moment on form, play well when they're confident, at their ground - the result of this matters about as much to me as Doug's next haircut - this team has been brilliant all season and they've come away with the biggest league achievement for us in forty years - I hope they enjoy the summer and I don't care if it started yesterday - well played all year boys, you've earned the day off.

Anyone trying to draw conclusions from this game already is trying to push an agenda. We’ve been playing productively if wasteful. Palace have taken their chances. That’s football. People are free to complain about the game. But those trying to draw wider narratives need to chill. It’s been a hard thought season. We haven’t downed tools either in this game. That’s just football sometimes. It’s been an amazing achievement all the same.

I don't care what happens today obviously but I will say defensively we have been dreadful all season. A serious weak point for us. I do hope that gets addressed over the summer/next season because we can't be shipping 60 odd goals ffs.

Tbh, we’ve had to make do with 4/5th choice CBs and using Ezri at RB when Cash isn’t playing. It’s been far from ideal. But also a reflection of the season. Hopefully Pau will be over his fitness issues

Let's not gloss over the fact that he has left by mutual consent. They could have hung on to him to get some compensation. The guy is a nightmare who falls out with everybody.

He had a clash with Tony Bloom and there was only one winner.

Had a release clause of £12.8m, which you'd think they'd try to get. Assuming De Zerbi did something to make the situation untenable however.

This if from the Sun and a few months after they qualified for the Champions League.

There is no media conspiracy around Aston Villa. We came very close to breaching FFP and the media are reporting on it, as they did with Newcastle when their financial results were made public.

Not what I said. Again, you're pointing to a Jan 2024 article. I'm under no illusion about FFP. I was asking about the summer of 2023.

They spent a lot of time hyping them up, talk of £450m spending sprees. I never said there was a conspiracy, but there's a hierarchy of bias when it comes to teams in the league. Do you think they are going to publish stuff like this about us?

"HARRY KANE and Neymar are among the star-studded list of Newcastle's transfer targets, according to reports.

The Magpies are back in the Champions League for the first time in 20 years and can now look forward to an exciting summer of transfer recruitment."
