  1. Appointing Steve Clarke would feel a lazy appointment and so far I've been disappointed in him as number two. It would feel like we've not changed anything.
  2. If Bruce does come then that match will be even more hostile at the end of the month, I don't think he was even that popular when he left the club to join Wigan. Popular of course when he was there, being ex player and what achieved while he was there, but by god now what will they make of this one. Could you say from the blues point of view this is worse than the McLeish appointment.
  3. Sean Dyche would be great around here but would he really leave a premier league club for us?
  4. To his credit least he's keeping us update.
  5. Wow since when has Southgate been an expert lol.
  6. I never said I wanted Wagner personally, I admit that's to much of a gamble for me.
  7. Yes but what happens if we lose to the Blues and only finish mid table!? Look when he was up at Sunderland, no matter what he could do he was disliked cause of being a geordie. Who says he wants to come, he might turn round and say I want a premier league job!? The stoke job may soon come vacant.
  8. My concern with Bruce is, it will feel like another McLeish type appointment. It will turn many fans away and cause of the connections with Birmingham if things go wrong early on the fans will be on his back straight away. Vital for the club they get a man they know the fans will back on his. No matter what Bruce will do, he'll still be disliked at the end of day.
  9. Maybe league one level but he's achieved promotions with four different clubs, Blackpool, Preston, Huddersfield and Leeds. Never suffered relegation at any level unlike Bruce. Always worked for clubs on small budgets.
  10. I'm really surprised more hasn't been made about Grayson coming due to his connection with the club and his nice comments about the fans following last weeks fixture. For example Brian Little is on the board, the manager who brought Grayson the first time round as a player, could he bring him here again as manager? Also Ross McCormack played under him at Leeds, got the best of him there, maybe Ross will put a good word for him there.
  11. For me the right man would be Pearson, got experience of managing in the championship of course, leading Leicester City out of there with over 100 points. Think he's the right man to settle things down round. Just hope the board don't do something stupid like wait till end of the season, wouldn't be fair on the supporters to wait that long to find out their next man. Also other clubs may look at Pearson till then. Another name that springs to me if we fail to get Pearson would be Di Canio again he'd be lot different to Pearson but he certainly gets reactions from players and has a strict approach which this club needs.
  12. Some people make out its the players that are the victims but I'm sorry this isn't the case here, the fans have put up with so much this season and for the other five and I'm afraid at the end of the day it us fans that are the victims. We've backed Villa so much over the years but it seems like we get nothing back in return.
  13. I heard Demba Ba could be coming on loan, anyone else heard this?
