I think this might be possible.

Have just paid and it says it is available until October 2nd.

Whether they will tell you the result before you get to the stream page is different though.

Yup, I've paid and it seems to be possible. The trick will be covering the screen to avoid spoilers and clicking back to the start of the stream 😅

What the hecky heck are you watching tonight?

Nothing! I'm sad enough to buy a stream to the Wet Spam-Hull game, as I won't be able to watch live on Thursday, and wanted to know if I should just get a few score updates on my phone or whether I'd be able to watch it after the fact when I get home 😅

So apparently you can pay £10 and watch this on carabaocup.live.

Anyone heard anything about it, if it works etc?

Yup, I tested it out tonight. You just pay a tenner on the link posted on this thread and you're given a stream. It seems you can watch it back as well in case you can't watch it live

Mungo Bridge would be the candidate, but I'm not sure if a.) he's ready and b.) Hause is able to nurse a youngster through a game.

Looked nowhere near first team level in the EFL Trophy vs Sunderland. I think it'll be Hause and Mings. We definitely need another centre-half IMO if Hause is our cover for both right- and left-sided centre-half

Having owned Sarr for most last season in Fantasy I should be excited but scored 5 goals and 6 assists and 3 goals and 2 assists came from games against Manure and Liverpool then he did bugger all else in the other games. I think he's media hyped because of who he scored half his season goal contributions against

Fortunately, I'm pretty sure our scouts rely on more than Fantasy PL when deciding who to sign

The game can be viewed live at carabaocup.live for £10

Any chance you know if these games can be viewed after the fact? May not be able to watch live but would be happy to pay a tenner to watch later that night!

Did fine, but I also remember thinking the same about Doyle-Hayes a few years ago. He needs a loan.

Loved his tackle mind. Looked for a while like the only player that realised it wasn't a preseason match.

That's like Rashica's goal against Bayern

Anyone who thinks Barkley is a poor footballer must be comparing him to Messi or Ronaldo. He would walk straight into our first XI and probably be our best player.

I agree he'd start for us but if you think he's a better player than Jack you're mad

    You are kidding right?

We haven’t even signed him yet and the usual clowns have written him off based on the usual criteria (I.e. they signed him on FM and he didn’t do the business so must be shit in real life).

Not sure if you're capable of this level of understanding but this is a football forum. Strangely, some people on here like to watch football and have opinions on the players we watch. Obviously we should support the players once they're wearing our shirt

This in bold actually pretty much trumps all the other moaning.

It also suggest he has a higher ceiling and that the management team feel they can improve him.

    So:

    - Better than current options NOW - check

    - Higher ceiling and room for growth - check

    - Improves the squad - check

Having a different opinion to you doesn't mean I'm moaning mate. Also, being better than Trezeguet doesn't mean we should spend 20m on someone or there'd be no need for a recruitment team - we could just go through the phone book.

Taking everything in to account, the Traore fee makes absolutely no sense at all, even at say 12m plus addons his wages would need to be 40k max for me for it to be a solid bit of business. At 20m+ and say 60k wages its a walkaway situation for me, surely this all has to be just media crap as usual.

Is he worth getting? if yes, how much?

You could argue he's worth getting as he's better than El Ghazi and Trezeguet, but that's not saying a whole lot. 7-10m would be an ok deal IMO. Given the amount we're spending I would definitely look elsewhere. Obviously has my full support if we sign him and hope he's great for us

Either way, it insinuates that we had a choice between the likes of Depay and Traore. Lol

I'm sure we could have afforded Werner instead of Traore and Watkins as well at only 47 mill.

Or Haaland for half of that

I was insinuating no such thing. I was merely showing how Lyon value their best player, and what we're playing for someone they're desperate to get rid of

It’s not about being ripped off. Depay is in the final year of his contract. Barca offer colossal wages.

It’s a pandemic with many clubs struggling, the cost in this deal is relatively low, and another sign of ambition that the club is willing to spend to bring in players it feels can improve the squad. Every transfer is a gamble. The club will continue to spend to improve. We are in a very fortunate position.

Given that there's a pandemic and clubs are struggling, prices should come down, not go up! The cost of the deal is not low, trust me! Lyon missed out on CL for next season and were planning on selling Aouar, Depay and Dembele to make up for the cash cow they will miss out on. This Traore transfer fee is totally unexpected and will allow them to keep one of their top players. Obviously I hope Traore is great for us, and he was a decent player a couple of years ago, but we seem to be adding £10m onto every transfer fee (even in today's market) and it adds up quickly
