A bit of an over reaction. Guzan, vlaar and benteke would be a massive loss. This is a back up player who wasn't playing that well.

Joint top scorer. Need goals to win games. Simple as. 

That would have been welcome on so many levels for Benteke and the game

Not sure if it's Sunderland flattering us but we're on top in this and it looks like the players believe they can win. Totally different mentality to what we've seen of late. 

They look tired after the first 10minutes. I think they pressed too hard, don't seem to be able to close Swansea down at all anymore

 

I'm watching a programme - it's Ben Fogle travelling across miles and miles of barren desert. It's boring, but I can't find anything else worth watching.

 

If you look carefully you'll see our midfield at one side of the desert and Gabby and Andi on the other side of it.

 

In fairness the rest of the league aren't exactly providing either so far this half...

Guzan is a bloody great keeper.

Kozak, ability aside, definitely wants to score and makes it obvious, unlike some on the field

Southampton, not THAT long ago despite the last 3 games seeming an eternity.

Wasted money on Helenius when we could have strengthened defence and attacking midfield.

 

So signing Okore doesn't count? - we went into the season with 4 CBs (with a couple utility players) but unfortunately 2 are crocked

 

He improved LB by signing Luna and added Bacuna as a potential RB to challenge Lowton

 

Just so happens it's the best two as well!

I'm sorry but that Man United team doesn't scare me in the slightest. Their midfield is absolute toilet. We really should get something here.

You can't ignore Welbeck and Rooney upfront. Rooney drops so deep that he's virtually an AM at times. 

Scored two in the second half against West Brom, no reason we can't do it again. Poor half but I trust Lambert can turn it around. 

Is it urban myth or was Christian the top scorer in europe between Jan and May this year?

He was top scorer in Europe in 2013 even during the first couple of games this season!

Benteke will be on the bench, saved for more winnable games.

No way he's on the bench. He's been watching games from the bench for the last week, despite training with the Belgium squad. He says that he feels good, we know what he's like, he's young, hungry and wants to play. Lambert has said he trusts the lads judgement these past few weeks allowing him away with Belgium. He's on that starting sheet for me and to be honest I think I'm going to back him to score a few too. He has a habit of it when we're on TV! Come on the beast!!!

Think we have good reason to be fairly confident here. 3 points would have us in a pretty decent spot in the table!

I'm really keen to get to this game as Hull is so near. Does anyone have any experience of just heading somewhere on match day and trying to find a spare ticket? Eg. Just standing around outside the away end asking around?

I'm looking for a ticket if anyone ends up with a spare, I'll pay full price of course. I'm in Sheffield so can meet in Hull on Saturday.
