It's utterly baffling that your reaction is WOW to the response you've received. I saw thread bumped - fine. You've posted a photo of a new gun. I thought 😬. Then you proudly state that you will carry it a lot.

I mean - after the much publicsied events of the last few days/weeks and the corresponding reaction on the gun violence in the US thread here - just read the room. I can't believe that you created that post and the thought never crossed your mind, there might be some blowblack here.

Fair point. I did not mean to cause people to get ___________ (fill in the blank). I genuinely believe that some people are interested in firearms/target shooting and some are not (fair enough). I do not share the points that a lot of you are making by me posting. Its tragic and certainly when i talk about guns i am coming from the only point of view i know-a US Citizen, educated, background checked and tested in carrying a concealed weapon (well SC is now open carry) i dont have the answers of how to stop it happening again.

But i don have a unique perspective of being a dual citizen with just less than half of my life spent in England. Hence one of the reasons why i thought the thread would be good to give my point of view on certain situations, but not sure if thats what it is now?

  2. In for a PV-3 Lloydz Garage tune and Indian motorcycle performance air filter friday to go along with my Vance Hines exhaust, I got the lowest HP Indian as possible, but this will deffo give a bit of pep to it!

  3. I'm not here to change anyones mind, but the reaction is WOW!

Maybe I should get mods to delete thread as doesnt seem much enjoyment or interest any more.

Mods-I will leave it to your decision.

Any way hope everybody has a great rest of weekend and UTV!

This bit I 100% get and I'm convinced if I lived in America I would do as a hobby, probably a range of different gun types too

I love it, my father in law has 30 acres so i can go for the day, set up targets for different caliber and have at it!

I posted that pic as i know we have former military (thank you for your service) and this firearm is the new us military issued pistol, minus a few bells and whistles, that replaces the age old beretta.

Do you ever get angry or annoyed, have a bad day, feel upset etc?

In which case that thing you have, even though I'm guessing right now you'll swear you'll never use, will increase your (and your families) risk of death by about 400%.

mate I'm married to a Latina, I have more bad days than hot dinners.

I totally respect your opinion as I would not to exercise your legal right to carry a firearm if you lived in a gun legal state in USA. I know its a  emotional subject among many. But sometimes peoples opinions of exercising my legal right to carry, is very unforgiving. despite me doing something 100% legal.

In light of the last few weeks over there you probably have a very obvious answer to this - why? What are doing in your day to day life where you need to carry that?

Tomorrow I'll pop in to lidl, I won't need to take a gun with me to feel safe...there's literally zero threat of anything happening to me while I'm there

How do you live like that? Especially being from the UK? (I think you are anyway?) doesn't it make you want to come back?

As a safe, licensed firearm carrier, it  maybe hard for me to get my point of view across,  if I didn't carry and had the opportunity to protect myself and or my family it would be in me. I am exercising a constitution right. I also really enjoy target shooting, so that's another part of my gun ownership. That may sound strange but the beauty of living in a free and democratic society.

Do i think these events especially the elementary school are awful-Yes. I am not allowed to carry my weapon in certain buildings and i respect that.

Id be surprised if any political party messed with the 2a. As both democratic, but no doubt more republican's wish to keep the status quo or as close to as possible.

I am from UK, but my life is here now, and there is no urge due to gun issues to relocate back

Why are pick-ups so enormously popular in the USA? Its something that totally seperates USA from Europe.  Unless I was a builder or farmer I can think of absolutely no reason to have one as a primary form of transport.

A guy over the road from me has one but he does work in construction. They are as rare as hens teeth over here.

I suppose we've got a halfway house with people going nuts for SUV's although I don't get that either.

Yeah, this truck is the smallest of the market. Haul a trailer or trash or whatever you want in the bed. So much easier logistically to move stuff around and believe me its a god send for every day life!

  9. My missus is mexican (south of puebla, which in itself is south of cuidad de mexico) really wanted to go see a game, but **** me not taking her or my son to that!
