Pretty sure N'zogbia isn't as much of a "bomber" as the rest. When he got injured Lambert was quoted saying "He'll get his head down and get himself fit again and he'll have plenty of support in doing so". Pretty sure the number is just due to it being a fairly long term injury so Lambert has given it to someone else. I'm convinced if he hadn't gotten injured Weimann would have no. 9.

Think he'll get the armband when Vlaar isn't playing this year, did in pre-season too.

Kevin Friend tried his best to relegate us last season against QPR so he's put in an even better performance this time around just to make sure we get robbed! If we were Arsenal or one of the "top 6" then Friend would never ref again. I'm so angry right now it's seriously unhealthy.

Off the ball i think he's our most important player. Does so much work to pressurise the opposition and i think a lot of people only notice that when he's not there. If he manages to get what i expect of at least five goals this season (along with westy) i think they could both be on the fringes of the England squad...

I don't. So what if a quality player came on offer (e.g. James Milner) and Lambert turned him down because he's over that age range... makes me worry.

People saying he didn't have a good game yesterday either didn't watch the game or already have decided he's poor so see everything he does as a negative. One of his best performances for Villa today!

A lot of my mates are LCFC fans and all seem to rate him as the best thing they have in the final third of the pitch, seen him play quite a lot when I get dragged into watching Leicester games - good player!

Was this match some sort of clause from when we signed Stevens? Just because Lambert said in one of the AVTV interviews something along the lines of "yeah well it's just a game we're going to have to play" and he sounded quite disinterested.

That low or high option makes absolutely no difference for me whenever watching AVTV

Precisely the reason you gave is the reason he's playing there. To familarise himself with the position no doubt as he'll most likely be the cover if anything does happen.
