I said after the Chelsea game that if Delph continues this type of form he should be considered for England in the near future, then Con told me that I was wrong... Now he's saying exactly the same thing I said?

To put it bluntly:

- Bennett looked like a good player playing poorly (probably due to nerves). 

- Stevens looked like a bad player playing to the very best of his ability.

Which equalled similar results I suppose, however I would much rather have Bennett around as there is definitely potential there.

Has he deleted it? Can't see the 'homophobic' tweet, what did it say?

Really doubt there's anything behind it apart from the fact we were interested before we signed Luna so journos put two and two together.

With Luna, Bennett, Baker, Clark and Stevens (if things get really desperate), I can't see Lambert wasting funds on another left back.

Is there any rumours about us wanting this Finnbogason? Not heard a thing myself, not even twitter non-sense.

If we had an experienced head somewhere else on the pitch (e.g. midfield) then I would be all for pairing Baker with Okore, however the fact of the matter is we have no real outfield leader except Vlaar so I think it would be a mistake to leave him out.

At least Bowery has time to improve, we bought Harewood at 27...

I hear C. Ronaldo is out of favour now that Real Madrid have gotten Bale. Worth a cheeky punt?

Mart-L7 made a reasonable, understandable comparison regarding one small moment that happened in the game. Yet people jumped on his back, acting like they were some sort of mega football analysists because they could say "Messi is better than Delph". Well done...

I'd imagine Albrighton will at least play some part of the game.

There's more chance of me getting a run out in a competive game for villa.

Reaallly looking forward to seeing Leandro playing, I reckon he could be a big player for us eventually.

I think he will be given a chance, I'm not reading too much into his number change - pretty sure it's just because of the uncertainty of the length of his injury.

 

I would love to see Bacuna given a start or at least a decent run out, from the little we've seen he's looked proper decent.

Either brought on at 60 minutes for whoever looks the most knackered/worst, or swapped with KEA as Bacuna strikes me as more attacking.

IMO it's not that he's "unable to" create chances and score goals, instead that due to his long term injuries he's tried to make sure he's mastered all the basics and neat and tidy stuff before he starts to take more chances (e.g. shots and killer balls), and it's clear to see in recent games he is trying these things a lot more as his confidence grows...

I would go for someone between El-Ahmadi and Helenius. Bacuna or Gardner for example, or maybe Tonev if Lambert thinks he will track back.

Today's "pre-match" show was somehow even more ridiculously awful than usual. A fifteen minute interview with a groundsman about **** all people care about, followed by regurgitated interviews from Lambert and Weimann. It's absolutely ludicrous that they charge £45 a year for this half hearted "service". 

no where to see footage of last night, if i could afford to go to games, i would, as it happens what i earn is my monthly bills, so having the treat of watching 22 over paid pri madonnas carelessly running around a plastic pitch for 90 minutes isnt as option :-)

Fair enough if you can't afford to go to games so only watch Villa the odd time on MOTD. But surely you can't expect people to take your opinions to be even slightly valid, if all you see is the goals?
