I get the club wants to sell full price tickets and not give any back, but how many hundreds have logged on, seen no good seats, only overpriced A2, and thought **** it. Surely better selling 500 seats where you 'only' get £30, than try and sell the last 20 for £60. Ridiculous, and makes a ST even harder to justify as prices rise. Maybe that's the idea.

I got a reply just directing me to make a complain to
So I did: fancomplaints@avfc.co.uk
Hello,
I've been directed to this email address to express my concerns about how the ticket resales are handled.I've just looked if my ticket has been resold for tomorrow, but resales haven't even been turned on. I'm told this is because there are a 'large number of tickets available in A2'. This large number is currently 22 tickets, many of which are single tickets.Obviously there will be many more people who would happily buy a ticket in a place they usually want to sit, such as the Holte End. I've tried to resell two tickets, which are prime spots in the back centre of the Lower Holte which I'm sure would be snapped up in seconds, yet the club refuses to resell these, presumably because they'd need to give us 80% of our ticket fee. This is still a huge loss to the club - I'd get about £30 back for a ticket which would sell for what, £55, plus any food/beverage sales. This is rubbish for fans that are wanting to buy a ticket, it's rubbish for loyal ST holders who are trying to resell, and it's rubbish for the club which is apparently trying to maximise revenue. And all this because of the tickets in A2 which were only put on sale recently as unwanted Lower Grounds tickets I assume.Yet another example of how ST holders are going to be treated in the future I guess. When we were getting 29,000 under Lambert and in the Championship we were wanted, but now we might be able to attract daytrippers we're no longer seen as desirable I guess. Even so, refusing to resell our tickets is still the club cutting off its nose to spite its face - it makes no sense.- 9

Now 22 seats in A2, many of which are singles. Yet they still won't release ticket returns.

mine still hasn't been put up for resale. contacted AVFC support on twitter who echoed the response received above
@OutByEaster? can this be added to the next FCG meeting please? the club is turning down much needed revenue here. no one wants to sit in A2 hence why there's seats available but if you made resale seats available you'd have loads in holte upper etc available that no doubt would get snapped up. ok, they have to give season ticket holders 80% (i think) of the ticket sale but surely it's better to have bums on seats, spending money in the club shop, food, drinks etc?
They also make a lot more than 20% - think I get £30 back for my ticket which they no doubt flog for something daft like £55, plus as you say drinks/food etc. It's idiotic behaviour from the club, and just another way to treat ST holders like dirt (when we were treated like saints during all the shit years when they were grateful anybody bothered to turn up).

There are 62 seats in A2, that they probably only put on sale very recently as they're unsold Lower Grounds tickets. Absolute **** farce.

I hope this email finds you well. I am emailing following the enquiry that you sent to Lee.
As per the resale terms and conditions, The Re-Sale Scheme will only operate, and the Re-Sale Period will only start once the Club has sold all the available tickets for the relevant Match. Currently, we have a large number of tickets available in A2 for Newcastle and we are observing a vast amount of late refund requests. This in addition to the less favourable kick-off time has contributed to the current availability of general admission seats for the Newcastle match which has not yet sold out. Therefore, it is currently unlikely that resale seats will become active for this game.
If, however, you are unable to attend, you also have the option to reassign your season ticket to another supporter. If you know someone who would like to attend in your place, please consider this alternative, and this reassignment can be facilitated by contacting the ticket office.

I've just emailed Lee Preece about the ticket situation. Ridiculous that the club is turning down revenue and annoying ST holders for absolutely no reason.

Looks like 2 seats left in the whole ground yet they still haven’t switched on resale. Doesn’t make sense.
Yep, trying to resell my ticket and nothing yet. Ridiculous system.

Only caught the last half hour - by the looks of the match thread I got the best of it. Thought we looked good fwiw, don't welcome the replay though.

We got down in the mud and wrestled with a pig, and the pig loved it.

We're talking about the incident that has blood pouring down the other player's face, yeah?
Should Watkins amputate his arms before he jumps? His arm wasn't even raised.

The only feasible place really is the Wheels site, which apparently the noses are eyeing up (no chance of them moving to a brand new stadium though).

That's total bollocks @blunther
Increasing Season Ticket prices is never ever going to get close to matching the increased revenue this stand was going to generate.
Well, let's see. Turning something like the Warehouse into another "GA+" facility, putting STs up 30% and reducing their number to increase the amount of day trippers will massively increate revenue. It may not quite match what new corporate areas could do, but it'll increase revenue without spending £100m+ on a new stand that might take 15-20 years to pay back, and let's face it they're not here for the 15-20 year long haul. I assume they'll also look at other internal refurbs in the trinity to try and max out corporate space.

Unless we're looking to move to a new stadium at some point
I think it makes perfect sense from a short-term corporate American point of view.
We can spend £100m, and make £50 a game from 50k fans
Or we can not spend £100m, take advantage of the demand outstripping supply and make £63 a game from 40k fans.
Same revenue, no cost. Of course it means some existing ST holders won't be able to afford to attend games, but their seats can be given to people who don't come every week who'll spend more on the ticket and other stuff at the ground.
From a business perspective, it makes massive sense. From a fan perspective it's not so good, but since when did we matter.

I presume we’ll be seeing a lot of that next year. On what I don’t know, memorabilia maybe, or around the ground, general marketing stuff. As long as it’s not the new badge, it’s ok (but Chris, if you’re reading, the font isn’t particularly clear and at first glance it looks like a dodgy Chinese symbols tattoo).

The odds from Skybet are:
Us winning: 1/5, draw: 11/2 and SheffieldU winning: 12/1
I don’t think I have seen odds that are so in favour of us winning before, at least not for a premier league match.
A win would guarantee we will be at least second over Christmas, with a good chance to be top of the league.
7/2 on Sheffield United or Draw Double Chance if anyone wants a consolation prize for Christmas.

If (and it's a big if because there are no easy games) we're ahead and looking comfortable, I'd be looking to get McGinn subbed off ASAP. A yellow here would really **** us for Old Trafford.

Why can’t we have the best keeper in the world AND the second best keeper in the world? Is it too much to ask?
About time we had some ambition. Love it.

Are you daring to suggest that Filip Marshall might not be as good as world cup winner and best goalkeeper in the world Emilio Martinez?

It was noticeable towards the end of the arsenal game when usually we'd go a bit quiet and tense almost waiting for the inevitable equaliser, instead we roared the team over the line. It was great to be a part of it. Maybe part of that growth and belief.

Cant see a big villa following after reading how hard it is to get there.
The villa boys may have to do this one without us
Sold out at the 3+ Away Conference League matches level didn't it? If people are buying tickets and not bothering to go they should be blacklisted for any other european tickets, there's plenty more of us who'd love a chance.

Lots of people mentioned Tim, but as much as I'd like to see him start and have a chance to show what he's got, I'm pretty sure he's not named in the squad.
I'd be happy to give Chambers a bash at centre half. The stinker he had was at right back which isn't really his position.

The stupid thing is my £30 would have gone straight back to the club for an FA Cup ticket, but bollocks they can have an empty seat for that too.
