If it was put on the kit and they said "we've done this to celebrate the last and only England team to win anything by using the colours from an old training kit" or whatever, then I don't think anyone would have batted an eyelid.
I think the thing that has got everyone's backs up is the poorly worded "playful approach aimed to 'unite and inspire' the nation" some people find the suggestion that the standard England flag isn't "uniting and inspiring" offensive and then you have the other people who believe that there is an agenda behind everything and that there is some subliminal "pride" messaging going on.
I for one couldn't give a shite about it, I haven't bought an England shirt since 1998 and I haven't barely watched any England games in years so they could play in a kit with Barney the Dinosaur wearing a pink tutu on the sleeve and it wouldn't bother me, my interest in England pretty much stops at checking if any of our players might have got injured during a game (if they play)

Toney has scored 4 and assisted 0 in his 10 games back.
In Watkin's last 10 league games he's scored 7 and assisted 2, and has continued that form for a lot longer because he's not a betting cheat.
So they're pretty much neck and neck.
Really? you must think highly of Gary Southgate if you think that puts them neck and neck, Toney is clearly way out ahead.

This hasn't hurt as much as some of the results this season, I feel like we've been waiting to cop a twatting off someone for a while.
Squad not big enough
Fewest players used in the league this season
Too many average players in the squad (not having a pop at them but its true)
Hit with injuries
Going deep in two competitions
we've had a good run, but I can see us taking a few bad losses now, just gotta hope that Man Utd stay shitter than us lol.

Everton point deduction has everyone shit scared.
Will be an interesting summer
That's just the thing, it won't be interesting at all because everyone will be too scared to spend any money...well, one team obviously won't be bothered by something as simple as FFP and we all know who they are so there isn't any point in concerning ourselves with them.

Switched it on at lap 15, Max was waaay out in the lead just coming into the pits, saw that it was a red bull 1 & 2 and switched it off, switched it on just before the end and Max was about 20 seconds up, switched it off again.
Like @MachoFantastico I think I'm done with F1 until they sort it out.
-
I fell out with the F1 early into last season, I'm not one of the Max haters but I just couldn't be bothered watching him win at a canter every week.
I've just put the Qualifying on, is the season going to be any different to the last or should I save myself the bother of watching because Max is going to be so far out in front again

Not finding it difficult at the moment if I'm honest. that's not a brag, I just know I can do it, I'm back in the gym which I enjoy and once I put my mind to a diet I'm fine with it. I find the results quite addictive (not in a problematic way).
This is exactly like me, basically cutting out all of the crap and knocking the drink on the head has worked an absolute treat, I'd say that is where 80% of my weight loss has come from.
Sticking to the low carb stuff ha also been easy as I have always been a carnivore and I enjoy plain foods for the most part, changing my mindset from eating at set times to just eating when I'm hungry has also had a big part in it.
All in all though, since I signed up to the gym and threw out all the shit food from my cupboards and freezer I haven't struggled at all (apart from on a Friday night when I do still miss my beer and curry) but seeing the weight fall off me at the rate it has makes it a lot easier.
I do need to start making more of an effort to get back to my running, I was either on the treadmill or running 3 or 4 times a week, its been 1 or 2 just lately, my issue with that is that when I push myself my body falls apart, after my 5k yesterday my hips feel absolutely shot to shit today, I'm hoping that they are better tomorrow so that I can get back out before work.

Well I didn't stick to my plan yesterday and I didn't get up the gym, I just couldn't be arsed, but I woke up and dragged myself out for a run, ran all the way to star city and back, 5km total , I had to walk the last part though because my knee was about to explode.
My next goal is to run to Villa Park and back, that'll be 3.4k each way, I honestly don't think it'll be too long until I am ready for that, shift a bit more weight and keep up the 5k runs and I'l be there before I know it

Superb work. Genuinely inspiring and really pleased to read your updates.
The key is the lack of guilt thing: you’re at a good place atm, so a bit of fish and chips here and there should be something you can have without your world tumbling down.
I’ve lost about 12% of my body weight this year through better diet and running. Back to where I was about 15 years ago. The big thing for me now is eating without guilt: I’ll binge occasionally and it’s okay.
Reading your experiences helped kick me up the arse so keep it up. (No Kenneth Williams gif needed)
Cheers man, but it isn't really inspirational, more of a warning not to end up in the hole that I was in in the first place lol

its been a few weeks so just thought I'd drop a quick update in here, I'm currently down 4st 3lbs, its getting to be bloody expensive though because I've had to buy new clothes, the new jeans I bought are already too big for me and I'm gunna have to buy yet another few pairs.
I was trying to hold out for 4st 7lbs before my next treat but I've caved and ordered myself a 16oz piece of fish n chips and I've gotta admit, I'm bloody excited for it, first time I've had fish and chips in about 5 months.
There is no guilt at all about this particular treat, I've worked hard for it, I'll be straight back in the gym tomorrow to start on working it off.

I tell you what, Gibsons have never really been my thing, but I do love a goldtop LP.
I bought my Fender Telecaster about 2 years ago and it was my go to guitar for the electric but I've found myself lately playing my Epi Les Paul more and more, the Tele is better for the softer stuff but for a real blues crunch I prefer the LP

Everyone talking about Gibsons, Next year is my 40th birthday and it'll come just after my annual bonus, I'm hoping to have enough tucked away that I'll be able to buy a 50's gold top Les Paul, it'll come to around £2.5k, that'll be my once in a lifetime purchase on a guitar

Player.
Is he a loan or have we signed him?
He is our player but it is technically only a loan until Man City decide that they want him

This thread is fast becoming a general music conversation.
Anyways, up until this point I've only ever really messed around with recording, it wasn't something that I've put a lot of time into, I really wanna change that though and now that I've got my Fender Mustang that means that I'll need to switch between that and my Spark amp if I wanna record any bass.
along with the looper pedal and audio interface there is far too many cables to even consider just setting up on the coffee table for half an hour of messing around.
I've rearranged the entire living room and bought myself a desk and stool so I can have my own little recording base where everything is plugged in and ready to go whenever I want.

John Deacons bass was always extremely distinctive, there are the few popular bass lines (under pressure, another one bites the dust etc) but when you hear things like millionaire waltz it couldn't be anyone other than Deaky.
Jack Bruce as well but that goes without saying.

2 miles now.
Used to be even closer than that, when I was a kid I'd sit in the back garden when we were playing cuz I could hear the roar when we scored.

I went for an outdoor run today, first time that I've done it since getting back into the gym, did 3 miles, and I currently feel fine, just waiting for my knees and hip to start giving me some grief now, I'm looking forward to the lighter mornings so I can start going out more frequently.
I've currently lost 3st 10lbs (52lbs) since October.

I had my bonus come through from work so there was only one thing for it....new guitar.
I've always wanted a Gibson Les Paul and thought I'd finally pull the trigger on it, got to the shop and spent about an hour playing it trying to convince myself that it was worth the money but man, I was completely uninspired, I decided to go home and play my 2021 Epi Les Paul and see if I regretted not buying it, I absolutely did not, my battered old Epi plays fantastic, sounds good and what's more is that its mine, I've had it now for 23 years and I know every single inch of that guitar, if I bought the Gibson I would have ended up selling the Epi and I would never have been able to replace it.
Anyways, knowing that I had that money sitting in the bank was doing my head in (money went into my account at 11pm yesterday) by 1pm I was fully aware that I had all this money sitting around doing nothing for over 12 hours so I pulled the trigger on a Gretsch G5662t, I've always wanted a hollow bodied guitar and a bigsby (I know that most people aren't fans of them) and it cost me nearly a grand less than the Gibson would have.
So all in all, I've got this wonderful beast arriving tomorrow, the Gretsch G5662t in Cadillac green...I've also ordered a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles strap to go on it.
