Ate Mexican and at a deli, did Hollywood, drank in a dive bar, shopped at Trader Joe and Target, watched live music but refrained from whooping drank beer before mid day, got mistaken for an Aussie
A common thing with our american friends. A mate of mine - a proppa new yorker (mate !) said that it was difficult for them to differentiate at times if they weren't familiar with the often aussie twang/nasal sound.
Then I said that it was the same for a lot of us with canadian and (some) american accents - he was almost horrified and wouldn't have it !

Isn't fair market value a thing for FFP?
25 million for a bottom 6 Championship clubs stadium rights seems absolutely ridiculous.
Surely they can't do that.
You sound rattled. Mate.

I wouldn't sign Smith Rowe if for no other reason than he sounds like a complete word removed with this street, road man accent so many of that generation and younger think it cool.

There's a thread on sha that Jack Grealish paid the funeral costs for that moron who punched him at the sty. Honestly, even now there were a good few dvb references and grudging praise whilst still hating on him for villa connections.
In fairness a few noses have said if true then fair play but others look to have been riled by those comments and just won't let it go.
Then again, why am I surprised ?

Another vote for never playing them ever again.
Away, then we'd run the usual risk of ambush, flying missiles inside and outside the sty.
Home, they would take great pleasure in trashing the toilet blocks etc and generally being a menace especially to any of our scarfers, women and kids walking up to the ground.
As others have said we would be in a no win situation. Batter them on the day 8-0 and the great unwashed will bleat about gaps in wealth, our spawniness etc. Win 1-0 and we'd never hear the end of it.......only 1-0 - even when winning the game by either score gives the same prize of a next round tie.
Don't get me wrong.....we have our own bonehead fans who enjoy a ruck with any other like minded word removed.....it's just that I see them akin to being grubby peasants desperate for crumbs from our table, but who would never admit to wanting to being in our position.....oh no......they are proppa, PROPPA working class fans mate who would keep it real and would refuse any association with the premier league circus and all the plastic, wannabe shallow fans and all that comes with it.
Yeah right.....they'd give their sisters up for a chance to be in the promised land !

Rewatching Fargo box set, with a view to getting stuck into series 5. I since realised I only watched 1-3 which were brilliant but I am struggling to take to series 4....the one in the 50s with black and Italian gangs...I am up to episode 5 but it just ain't grabbing me.
Without asking for spoilers I hope those who have seen series 5 will recommend it.

I am blessed really. My company has changed my contract to 100% wfh about 18 months ago and I would hate the extra 2 hours a day travelling.
I just fall out of my bed and log on. Perfect. I do miss the craic with some of the team but could cheerfully strangle others. At my time of life i just want the least amount of hassle

I wouldn't mind going but would be kicked out for :
1. Not wearing a chunky knit arran sweater
2. My knowledge of steam locomotives is pitiful
3. I don't have a beard....or am not called Malcom. Or Malcolm Beard.
4. I'd end up taking the mick out of all of the above as i demand lager.

Colliers Rover wasn't it? Was it my imagination, or did they used to drive the cars around the pitch at half time?!
They did. Metro, maestro and montego cars at half time and sometimes before the game, hazard lights on.
I also remember watching an increasingly impatient Kent Nielsen in the queue at asda Minworth....all he had in his hand was a bunch of leafy green veg but the ol biddie in front of him was tw@tting about wondering whether to pay cash or by card !

Back on the day when bands mimed on top of the pops.....all well and good for singers and guitarists/keyboards/wind instruments but I have often wondered how the drummers get on with drumming to a mimed song ? Surely hitting the drums will make enough sound and if they're a bit off sync with the music then what ? Do the microphones near their kits get turned off to offset that ?
One for VT muso experts I guess.....

Am going to see Chris Kent at the glee club (never been there before) in March. He is a comedian from my parents hometown of Cork (northside naturally).
Funny enough in short Instagram clips. The missus will deffo struggle understanding his accent though

The mad thing is, i don't mind my job. Its generally ok, its a decent salary, I can do it with my eyes closed and I get on well with most of my colleagues. I think its just a general malaise with my life at present. I'm well aware a change of job may make no difference at all.
Got a few days leave to take that i carried over from 2023. Think ill get away to the coast. The sea always calms me .
Not saying this is the total answer, but how about the distraction of online dating ? Despite you being in sales, you are a decent lad even if we've never met, I get that good bloke vibe from you. Yes, online dating can be a ball ache but worth giving it a go as too much work and little play is not good for you.
I am assuming you are single, of course....

For Christmas Mrs Sidcow bought a couple of packs of these Scottie Dog shaped Shortbreads. You know, the traditional Christmas Scottie Dog.
Anyway we keep them in a cookie jar. They're quite brittle and the heads keep falling off and working their way to the bottom of the jar so I've spent the last few days eating dog heads.
Whatever floats your boat I guess....

No matter.
They drank the town centre dry. Took 30,000 in the away end and have further rattled them lot up the road. Mate.
