How many times did Erdo Pete say "I'm 72, I've seen a lot of football" tonight? Senile old codger.
He is - in my book - the reason the word "mate" is frequently used in this thread.
He uses it like punctuation or a pause. Proppa old skool blose is Erdo Pete.
He's 72, y'know. Mate.

I can, there common tests, everyone revises for them.

There attitude tests as well, for the police just google test questions for wm police, I applied for a train drivers job once , the reams of tests and whole forums set up to help was amazing......I never got the job, too clever
For the interview people build stories from their previous jobs to answer quertion.
Eg Can you tell me a time you have gone beyond your job role to help?
Role out a story
That's very helpful, thanks !

Apologies if this has already been discussed but.....online assessment questionnaires when applying for a new job....are they now standard ? The ones that ask "which statement best describes you ?" type ? Or "what would you do in this situation ?"
My brother has been sent one by wm police to be a call handler (that I understand) but he also just got one for the assembly line at JLR (yeah...I know ) in Wolverhampton. No experience needed but....yet this assessment needs to be completed as part of their recruitment process.
Any HR or job agency types on here able to comment ?

It's just jealousy.
Although given they're the club who retired the shirt number of a kid who didn't even play a full season worth of games for them, I suppose they'd be experts on being small-time... Mate.
Do i stick around at Stans propping up this load of shite for god knows how long or do I eff off to the bundesliga and a top German team as soon as I know they're serious .....but....as long as I intimate that I am sacrificing myself to save the club, the proles will lap it up !
Difficult one, that

Honestly, the "tonight's games" thread (aka we hate da vile, with no mention of the other games tonight ) is awash with bitterness about no red card for emi, cash handball, foul by duran on their keeper and so on......revert to type, mate !

There in it for the long term, experts in marketing, close connections with Heck. This is big news, as big as Emery signing especially for the long term future of us competing at the top of the game and getting more influence over the powers that be (sky)
New ground, not quite yet, we need all our income to go into the team until we , with their help, can increase our income.

Derek Underwood, 78.
Gutted. I grew up as a Kent fan due to Deadly Derek, Allan Knott, Alan Ealham, Graham Dilley and Bob Woolmer in the late 70s onwards.
Sad day.

The Town, no cars got clamped in the early 80s and the Zulus formed in about 85.
Oh the Lulus get plenty of mentions throughout the series which made me wonder how the rest of the country would even start to understand who or what they were. Only local football fans of a certain age would know the reference, laughable though it is !
Believe me, you'll find plenty more to annoy you about that programme
SpoilerIncluding the idiotic and pointless club owner and wannabe Kray type character !
