We lost away to Newcastle & Liverpool, teams who have incredible home records. So a point was best result really for both games. Then in both games we gifted them an early goal, our chances of getting a point drop massively then. We lose a key CB and reshuffle.

On top of this, we are playing the two best high intense pressing sides in the league as we are trying to learn a new system and new build up play. On back of the gifting them early goals and the CB injuries. I think we can't read too much into those games.

We've lots of games coming up and hopefully we get better in our system and structure

I think most of us can accept defeat at those places. It’s the manner of defeat and hardly putting up a fight that’s the worrying bit.

  2. Probably the first time I’ve been disappointed with Emery. Would have thought we would have played a bit more conservatively in these games after the Newcastle debacle.
But then again the poor start really **** the game plan up. Lots of work for him in the next few weeks in finding the right blend.

He’s no where near good enough lads anyone saying otherwise is nuts. I can appreciate people not liking abuse but he’s simply not good enough to be our back up.

Agree. He’s not a poor keeper but he doesn’t have the abilities needed to play in a team that plays a very high line and likes to play out from the back. He could be useful if he was either ok with the ball at his feet or quick of his line, but he’s neither.
