  1. Did he mean it?

Even his passing was good tonight, immense performance.

Almost certainly I think, the way he shapes up and the movement of the striking foot look like he's going for goal.

  2. I'm not buying it personally, he got the 'injury' in Miami and seems as if he has never been back from the bloody place. Rehab my arse.

Does seem very strange, can't see him being arsed in the slightest when he returns to fitness has spent too long living it up doing **** all, although I would love to be proved wrong.
  3. I wonder if, realistically, anyone is a fan of hoofball, can't say I've ever met anyone who is. Just seems to be the go-to insult for anyone who doesn't love possession-based football.

  4. Martinez had the potential to be another GH without serious funds. Pretty football, but no end product and weak at the back. It's not hard to see why Everton are scoring so many goals this year. Look at their options.

I don't think they are that blessed with attacking options at all to be honest and saying his style is weak at the back is strange considering how little goals they have conceded.

  5. Some of these reactions are laughable, not like anybody said he was never going to have a good game again, just simply stating facts about how he has been poor in recent games, which would be hard to dispute.

I'm sure every body hopes he continues playing well but trying to throw all the valid criticisms in peoples faces because he's had one good game is stupid, lets have a sense of balance.

I think your post is laughable personally, mainly because nobody has actually said he hasn't been poor in recent games.

    Bollocks.

There are a couple of posts before mine, which are solely there to have a go at those who have criticsed before hand.

  7. Oh we'll be breaking even, remind me to get the party poppers out when we're in the championship.

I wish we were more like Portsmouth. I hate my club for not spending beyond its means.
What a ridiculous comparison, so if the club didn't completely over-react and cull our high earners cold turkey we would have done a Portsmouth?

The club could have dealt with the high earners with a lot more class, the whole bomb squad scenario was completely pathetic added to the latest Hutton news, its embarrassing, it's not like Lerner doesn't have a pot to piss in.

I'm glad you have all the inside knowledge on the clubs accounts and what needed and didn't need to be done.

I'm not sure I wanted to keep any of the high earners anyway and I remember a lot of people saying they were glad to see the back of them.

    What? Where have claimed this?

I've made just as much as an assumption, in fact less than, than comparing our situation to Portsmouth's.

You claimed it didn't have to be done the way it has. I trust that it has been done this way because it had to.

I didn't compare our situation to Portsmouth, it's just an example of spending beyond your means.

As is your precognitive and as is mine to think the opposite. Think using sarcastic remarks about me having inside information is extremely ironic considering your opinion is also based on an assumption about what was gone on inside the club.

Also using Portsmouth as a negative example of spending above your means is about as relevant as me using Man City.
