I expect Everton to eventually get their act together and finish top 10 but they won't be troubling the top 6/7 this year. You'll need 60 + points to finish in that range so Everton need to find a mammoth winning run to do that.
-
Yep, very good win against City. I expect a return from Glaston in the next day or two.
Spurs will win more than they lose at WHL but it's away from home which will make or break their season so let's see how they get on at Blackburn and Fulham over the next ten days.
-
Nice knowing you Curtis.
-
So we're ridiculously high in the league, looking invincible on the pitch, let's see how our next home game is against........oh fook it's STOKE. Whelan Aghhhhhhhh.
1-1.
I can see Stoke beating one of these teams we can never beat no matter what form we're in.
We should win but I can see them nicking one early from a long throw or corner and then camping in our half which we will struggle to break down.
Carew with our goal.
-
An easy game when Sunderland have only lost one home game this season to Chelsea and they took the lead in that game.
Righto.
Not sure our energy levels will be at their highest tommorrow night given how much we battled in the second half at OT.
-
You'd expect Spurs to beat Blackburn and Fulham. Even away from home.
Then again, I'd expect them to beat Wolves at home.. Man City game could be a good indication of how well they can play when confidence isn't sky high.
They last won at Craven Cottage in 2002, not sure when they won last at Ewood but they lost there last season and in recent seasons before, it's ended up in a draw.
-
If you're using Arsenal tube station after the game, follow the second queue that goes past the station and then does a loop round at the top of the road as it's much quicker than the first queue at the bottom of the stairs.
-
Really been disappointed with Carew this season but again he's had an influence in a couple of games.
-
I worry how much the second half particularly has taken out of us, as saturday evening to tuesday evening isn't that long a recovery and Sunderland with Jones and Bent upfront will be putting us under a lot of pressure.
But their defence isn't good against pace and both their full backs are poor so expect us to create a few chances.
-
Spurs next three games:
Man. City (H)
Blackburn (A)
Fulham (A)
not the easiest trio of games, Man. City game is looking like another nailed on draw and I don't think they have great records at either Ewood Park or Craven Cottage.
-
Fear an after lord's mayor type performance and Sunderland are decent at home although some poor results recently.
2-1 Sunderland.
-
Everton unbeaten in their last 4 visits to Stamford Bridge in the league.
-
The good thing is even with the 9-1 we're only a goal shy of Spurs in the goal difference stakes.
And just realised Spurs are playing Man. City in mid week so great they both can't get 3 points. Obviously hoping for a draw.
-
Glaston analysis of Spurs dropping points against inferior opposition please.
Totally made up with this Wolves result as I couldn't see any way how Spurs couldn't the game today.
Some terrible dropped points by Spurs in the league this season but then it does seem this sort of league this season.
-
Spurs said they weren't going to spend a penny last January and ended up spending 50m! So I don't believe a word they're saying.
-
I think it will be Rooney and Owen (can't really leave him out after scoring a hat-trick) with Berbatov, Wellbeck and Macheda all on the bench as options.
-
I think we can sneak a 1-1.
We haven't got a point at Old Trafford since 2002 so we're certainly due that at least.
Must say though I'm not liking the confidence on this thread as we usually get better results when everyone predicts us to lose! Even serial pessimists think we can get a result so strange times indeed.
-
'Castle ha, you can take the boy out of Stoke on Trent...
I wouldn't be sorry to see Davies leave tbh, we probably could still get around 7m for him due to age and potential and he's shown before he plays up if he's on the bench for a period of time.
Clark against Fulham showed far more composure alongside Cuellar than Davies has ever done so wouldn't want to hinder his development either.
-
strange how a player can look pretty ordinary for ages and the suddenly find his feet. it happened with petrov too - maybe its something to do with coming from the scottish league - perhaps we should have kept maloney for longer!
Not playing alongside Curtis Davies I'd say.
-
Does anyone else think that Everton game might be like our Stoke game from last season in sending Spurs into a bit of freefall given they have a few tough games coming up in the next few weeks?
Was on another SPurs site and they were all moaning about Everton fans appealing for fouls and handballs every time Spurs won headers. Now where have I seen that before?!
-
Spurs are a good cup team as surely the media obbession dosen't stem from their two top 6 finishes in the last 20 seasons. :winkold:
-
Must say I've never rated Krankjar that highly but thought he had a tremendous game on saturday and he seems to have fitted in well at Spurs.
What could prove your undoing is Redknapp obssession with playing Keane most of the time as it unbalances your play.
-
Leaving aside whether he's a dirty player or not, Fellani's performances have been on the whole terrible this season. And this is from someone who thought he was very good last season.
Must admit I was amazed Jo started ahead of Saha and Yakubu in the 4-5-1, he seems to come from the JPA school of intepreting the offside trap.
Everton won't go down but with the fixtures coming up for them, the top half is looking pretty distant. Can see Moyes walking away at the end of the season.
-
Showed yesterday they deserve to be up there, especially coming from a goal down as they certainly have'nt had that sort of resolve away from home in recent seasons.
Can see them being like us last season, will be in contention to March/April and then I think they'll fall away as they have a hard run in.
What was MON's biggest mistake?

Moscow.
Purely just because I'm against giving up on games of football.
And the gamble didn't pay off.
