I refuse to believe that Clark would do any worse than Collins
Me neither.
And Carlos just needs to play to automatically be a better option at RB and Hutton.
-
Waste of 10M.
If we were to make him available in January we may only get 2M back .
I doubt it. Aren't Spurs selling Giovani to Sevilla for about 5m?
-
Would imagine he'll be a reserve for the rest of the season and maybe challenge for a first team spot next season.
-
He did pretty much keep them up in the last few games, scored at VP which got them a point, was brilliant against West Ham and won the game in the last minute and then set up Rodallega's goal at Stoke on the last day.
He'll hit a hot period at some point this season.
-
He looked o.k for a bit this season and then got sent off against Swansea, since that he's been really really bad.
Just think he's lost a bit of desire aswell, very much like Angel was in his last 18 months with us.
Interesting point about the games played bit on the last page, anyone know how many games Gabby has played in his career, must be over 200 already?
-
Can't seem them going down.
-
the perfect opportunity to play n'zogbia in his natural position now gabbys out. play him on the left mc!
I thought N'zogbia said he preferred playing on the right?

I had no problem with Barry leaving but I think like me most were pissed off with the manner in the way he left rather than who he left for.
Surely that was from 2008 when he tried to engineer the move to Liverpool and the saga lasted for months.
He left just a week after the season finished in 2009.
From what I remember Man. City came in on the tuesday with a bid and the evening he'd done his medical and signed for them.
Done and dusted in a day.
-
Impressed me aswell. And he's also shown he can be competant at RB aswell.
-
How much did Wigan sign him for though, 6m wasn't it?
Anyone who wanted to sign him this summer would've paid that.
Was Downing that much better than him at Boro? We paid 12m for him and he had a broken leg at the time and was shite when he started playing.
-
32 this year is he?
Really liked Barry and was very upset when he left. But he did exactly what he said he wanted to do by playing Champs League and winning thr FA Cup. Fair play to him
Yeah he could certainly see the potential of City and dodged a bullet going to Liverpool, funny how it all works out in the end.
Back in the europa for now though. :winkold:

Pretty sure England's record on ITV during major tournaments since 1998 has been a complete disaster.

It is a good thing for me.
Online is cheaper, and gives me more time to do things I enjoy ie NOT shopping.
Although there are somethings that I wouldnt buy online eg Suit, Shirts, Trousers etc
Yeah same for me.
Most of the xmas presents I'm getting for friends and family are books and DVDs and I'm getting them off Amazon rather than going to Waterstones and HMV.

Yep, was just going to mention Holden, got injured in March just as the decline started.
-
On paper they have a good team
team with Robinson, Nelsen, Dann, Rochina, Yakubu, Samba, Petersen, Nzonzi, Formica and Hoilett should comfortably avoid the drop
Only two I'd both to try to sign out of those would be Samba and Holliet. rest are average.
Blackburn's big error was sacking Big Sam, they were never in any danger of being relegated under him.
-
Same as it is now although of the promoted teams I actually think Swansea will go close to doing a Blackpool.
-
Sorry yeah, remembered that as soon as I typed it, opps!
I meant more at VP.

Anyway back onto the game...
Watched 70 minutes of it and thought Sunderland were really really poor, pretty surprised they won it but it was Blackburn tbf.
Can imagine Larsson will be their poor man's Ashley Young, whipping in crosses and saving the day with free kicks but apart from him and Vaughan, I really don't see too much quality there.
Just annoyed they won in the last minute, can barely recall a time when we did that under MON!
I thought Titus was still suspended by the club aswell?
-
why is robertson not with mon??
Not sure his health is 100% at the minute.
-
That second one took a nick off Cahill, might have been going in if it hadn't?
-
Yep, looked good on the highlights.
Just a bit worried he's unsure when to come off his line, think he'll struggle at Stoke but be relatively o.k in the other games.
-
Interesting stat...OptaJoe Opta Sports
0 - Aston Villa are the only team in the Premier League without a goal from a corner this season. Bereft. @cmavfc15
That's one thing I thought we would be good at as pretty sure SHA used to score shed loads from them last season and the one before.
-
The only game I worry about with him is Stoke away.
All the others we're playing he'll be o.k in I think, certainly we would concede goals in those games with Shay in goal so doubt it will be much of a difference.
-
If we lost every game till the start of January, or mustered a maximun of 3 points over this period, (which has got to be considered a possibilty seeing how we are playing) who thinks Randy would admit he made a mistake and sack this fool? Or would Randy keep faith?
I think if we don't win on Saturday, we could easily go on to lose the next four (Liverpool and Arsenal home and Chelsea and Stoke away).
If that happens McLeish would have 1 win from 12 league games. I'd say Randy would have his finger pretty close to the trigger then.

Start of the season he looked quite decent in the first few games he played. I think though since September he's been really poor in most of the games he's played.
Really struggling to see the hype and him dominanting premier league midfields any time soon.
