We don't know how good they are as they didn't really try to compete. Literally offered nothing in attack and looked like they'd hope for some kind of miracle and lots of luck for a 0-0 or accept a low scoring defeat which they ended up with.
Standing off the opposition to remain in shape and disciplined is one thing, but standing still and doing nothing to press at anytime, anywhere is something different. The only thing I can say for Luton is that Villa, initially, had no idea what to do to counter their tactic but were able to pick them apart whenever an individual made a mistake.
I've never seen a game like this in all the games at different levels I have watched up and down the country. Probably the worst game as a spectacle I have ever seen.

Thoroughly enjoyed this today but massively overpriced for none season ticket holders.
Food is OK, fairly basic but reasonable enough (burgers, hot dogs, chips, nachos, ice cream, doughnuts, pick and mix). Seating is pretty poor, a load of old knackered benches that wobble about anytime someone moves. Drinks seem easy enough to get, plenty of staff on the bar.
I hope it was about full today as seating had run out in the last hour making it a bit uncomfortable in parts of the room.
Meeting and having pictures with Allan Evans, Tony Morley and Kenny Swain was the highlight for me, they were more than happy and actually sat opposite me on the same table to eat. I was quite amused watching Tony Morley queuing for a burger and seemingly nobody around him knew who he was. Even more so when someone tried to sit opposite and gave me a vacant look when I told them it was Tony Morley's seat, they sat next to him and had no idea who he was.
Seats were pretty crap right at the top of the Trinity not far off halfway. Great view but a bit disengaged for my liking.
I only went in Lower Grounds today as it was my Daughters first proper game so we did it as a one off treat to mark the occasion.

The club shop doesn’t sell scarves? How much do they cost from the street sellers?

Taking my 9 year old daughter to her first game at VP. My first game was against Luton aged 10 in 1991......We lost 1-2.
Lower Grounds, the only way I could get 2 tickets together, cost an arm and a leg so hoping she eats well!

Is the food and drink before and after the game?

Whats she like at drinking?
I think she'd do her body weight in ice cream to be fair.

Luton was going to be my 9 year old daughters first game at Villa Park, we're both very excited given that Luton was my first game aged 10 in 1991.
Problem is, I can't get 2 tickets together meaning this at (gulp) £192 is my only option. I can sort of justify it given that it will be a special occasion of sorts but a hefty price!

Not played for a few versions but just bought a new PC partly to play this. Assuming that Bellingham is going to be incredible.

Loves a drink in a little backpack, not joking or sure why he can't carry it.

Kadan Young is injured, and I think he might be out for a while as he did the thing that young players do when they have a serious injury of posting a black and white picture of themself. Hopefully nothing super serious like missing the rest of the season, but probably going to miss more than a few games judging by that post and the reactions from our other players.
He was walking OK on Friday so hopefully nothing too serious.

Timmy is going to bash them up in the middle of the park. Seems a while since I last saw him bossing it at Bodymoor.

Only season ticket holding u14s for free I believe.

It's quite sad that the one person on the audio whose (I presume) job is to do as he is told and offer no opinion (the replay guy), is actually the only one who questions the decision!

Home to Hull on Friday in the cup.

Southgate will pick Ollie but then sit him on the bench, that way he can act as if he's done us all and Ollie a favour whilst being an arrogant prick.

A bit harsh on Sir Alf Ramsey
I meant in my lifetime but fair point, sorry Sir Alf.
Southgate is a prick.

My level of dislike for the man is quite ridiculous given that it is only(!) a game and his level of success far outweighs any of his recent predecessors.

Kellyman a different animal playing second striker, a number 9 he is not and ineffective on the right. Once he got into the 10 roll he looked a million dollars getting on the half turn. O'Reilly good in that role as well but tends to come from a but deeper.

Watching and listening to Idiakez is so entertaining. Rowe in the left hand channel has been unstoppable, Sunderland need to work that out.

I normally drive to Tame Bridge Parkway and get the train from there, where is a good place to park tomorrow? Not parked near the ground for ages.

Midfield is lightweight tonight, Alcock, Pierre and Rowe.
-
7-1 now I believe, Wilson has bagged a hattrick.

Only turned on just before 90 minutes but 4 minutes of injury time this season seems suspect.
