He's not had the chance so how can you say that? Unless you're at the training ground everyday

I've seen him in u18s, on loan, in the u21s/u23s and the first team. That is what I base my opinion on, like it or lump it!

I remain a lot less convinced than many on here that Archer will become quite the player they have in mind. We've had no choice but to keep him on this season because we don't have very many options up front. I think training here with the players we have and the managers he's working his way through will help him during his career, but for him personally  it's probably a pity that he couldn't get a loan in the first half of the season.

If we buy well in January, hopefully we can get him that loan and either keep him as a back up or find better value for him in the summer.

I'd agree on this, he did well on loan last season but I haven't seen anything that suggests he will go on to play regularly at a higher level. We shall see.

  3. Lammy is definitely a midfielder played at Centre half to learn the game and toughen up, fabulous ability and a great chance to follow a similar path to Tim Iroegbunam. He really needs to pull his shorts up though, come and watch the rags down at Bodymoor and you'll see what I mean.

  4. Really poor tonight, Brentford didn't do much but we gave them the first 2 goals. Lots of possession, not much threat, Young decent early on, O'Reilly did OK particularly when Rowe came on and took the game by the scruff of the neck.

There are several who have no business being at this level.

Not sure what's going on with Shakpoke, it might just be that they're managing his game time carefully after he missed pretty the whole of his first two years with us.

He went off injured on Friday after grimacing and limping his way through the game initially getting injured in the warm up. He also went off at half time the Friday before.

not getting minutes in the first team so gets to kick a ball in this instead

its like we suddenly know what we're doing

To be fair there aren't many options as you have to start delving into the young lads (Moore, Lutz, Kellyman, Wilson) two of which are on the bench anyway. Makes sense for all I would suggest, but perhaps not so much if Shakpoke is fit.

  7. Absolutely as above, they hide behind safeguarding (although that is a relevant point) but reality is keeping the Vultures away.

When I was at Villa it was definitely like that although as with most things people try to find a way around it......

  8. Kobei's movement is really good, looks a prospect. I thought O'Reilly had a decent game tonight, he's not my cup of tea though.

Kadan Young was incredible in 3 or 4 short bursts but did little else, he had to be talked through the game by the coaching team. Strange really, he didn't seem to have the heart for it, they had to keep telling him to get up or chase the ball.

Omari Kellyman is a big lad, not involved tonight but he was there with several of the other lads. One I am looking forward to seeing in action.

Fred at this level is brilliant, actually a good measure of where some of these players are really at......the answer? Way off it.

It was very wet and the conditions were horrible, the referee was terrible and both teams were a bit sloppy at times. I thought Kerr Smith and the keeper were our best two, with Revan and Guilbert in the conversation. We might have held on for the win, but I thought the draw was probably about right.

And @AndyClarke I'm the santa looking fella sat in front of Luke Moore.

With the bobble hat? I've seen you a few times. I am the fat guy with the beard on your end of your row with the 2 kids playing on their switches!
