Or the Saudi Prince spotted at BMH, when in reality it was the owners of the local kebab shop delivering Gabby's latest order.

given the size on Gabby, his local kebab shop owner could probably rival the Saudi Prince for financial resource.

  2. Good luck - but my thought is fan ownership is a disaster bigger than the one we have now but good luck to you.

At the very least, Lerner has experience of dealing with deals for tens of millions +, does anyone (seriously) on VT for example have that experience - through work too (as I'm gunna guess no-one on here is a multi millionaire ;))

That is absolute bullshit it was accidental. I hope this a-hole never plays for the club again. i would rather ciaran clark plays than this idiot.

I actually dont think I have disliked a player so much as this weasel. NO RESPECT FOR THE FANS WE PAY YOUR WAGES!

we don't pay them, sky subscribers and far east tv subscribers do. :(

Allardyce has a championship playoff title m, a league cup final and 6 premier league manager of the month awards.

Pulis has been 3rd division runner up, 2nd division playoff runner up, championship runner up, fa cup runner up, has 2 manager of the month and one manager of the season award.

Remi has won the French cup and the champions trophy.

pulis and allardyce have been in the management game upwards of 20 years, between them they've only won a single actual title.  Doesn't exactly scream out that they are amazing managers.

They're experts at achieving the minimum - i.e. not getting relegated.

  5. 8 wins it is.

We need a few shocks but hey, we're playing well, we're harder to beat than we were and on set pieces we look a danger.

We're going to need to do something like beat Chelsea at home, or Spurs, or United away in this but a few results going our way and this is on

I'm not very good at being a carpenter (Baker, Doctor..........).

However, I chose another line of work.

Gabby is not very good at football.

    gets 60kpw..........

Not very good? Really? In comparison to Premier League defenders or the general population?!

  7. Absolute class this bloke - dominated the middle of the park Saturday.

Performances like his are making me consider the possibility we might stay up... and I don't like that - its a bigger fall when it doesn't happen :(

That's the one thing we can't challenge, I imagine, in this scenario.

There appears to be no way to challenge that decision.

that and the transfer window is shut.

To be fair, you couldn't give them away. The shirt of the season we got relegated. Also, I think most tramps get enough abuse from passer-bys already...

A better plan would have been a world record breaking attempt where at tonight's half-time we try to dress Nzogbia in as many shirts at one time as possible...

the thought of a multishirted nzogbia made me laugh :)

My view on completly Hollis change when I found this out:

When Villa did the Macron deal, Macron asked how many shirts Villa wanted produced.  The powers that be took the numbers that they got from Nike and asked Macron to produce the same amount.  Except they forgot to check how many Nike sold themselves, for example 15k were sold through Nike Town, 10k were sold in China etc.  This has meant there has been a surplus of Macron shirts and this year that surplus was 40,000.  So left with a surplus of 40,000 Villa shirts, the powers that be met a few weeks ago to discuss what to do them with.    Other ideas were discussed, but the main one discussed was the option to sell the shirts for £1 for those that attended certain games to drive attendance during the closing stages of the season.  Hollis then spoke up and said that for the £40k of revenue they'd get for selling the shirts for £1, it wasn't worth the aggravation it would cause as it would drive complaints from those that had purchased shirts at a higher price for Christmas presents etc.  Hollis said it would be better to burn them.

So guess what they did last week behind the offices at Villa - yes, they burned 40,000 Villa shirts in two skips!!!

An Aston Villa Chairman authorising the burning of Villa shirts, any shirt, is disgusting and shows the complete lack of respect to Aston Villa and understanding of what Villa means to fans like me and you.

Just think what we could have done with those shirts to drive goodwill - give them away to fans for the last game of the season? You could have even give them away to charity/people less fortunate than ourselves.  But no, we decided to burn them!

    I am speechless...

    is this serious mate?

the fact our shirt / badge gets burned is bastard disgusting

but when a team goes down they are usually raided for good players. On current form I would imagine we would be stuck with most of this team next year :( Only Zog I think is out of contract

we bought Gavin McCann when Sunderland went down with about 15 points!

He's not going to waste his personal wealth on villa because there are rules saying he's not allowed

Whether or not he wants to is irrelevant

can buy a biro off the club for £300m if he wants.

got around it in an instant.

He isn't and we will just have to wait till he feels he has got enough back. At the end of the day when he goes, the club and fans are the ones who have suffered. He doesn't care.

i expect Krulak to open his mouth soon, the gobshite.

He'll tell us of how he was in some battle and how that equates to our situation.

Except the American military are the best funded and go in with support from the top, don't they!

They don't hang the Generals out to dry in the middle of war. We're pretty much as far away from his analogy that we could be

Im angry with fans who have not seen this coming and refused to accept it to be honest.  Basically if there was more passion in the response to this then we would have prolonged and intensive campaigns against Lerner.  He wins by apathy and by selling the fans a line many bought and refused to give up until the reality smacks them in the face.

Sorry I appreciate that wont win me many fans on here but to be frank my fan club is a dwindling number anyway because I have been saying this for years

I don't agree at all that there's anything us fans can do to force a sale.

The guy doesn't turn up to games - so protesting there doesn't add an ounce to the cause. What can you protest about? "Wheres our money"? - its his. All his. Its his club too. Entirely. He doesn't answer to a board of directors, he doesn't represent a large shareholding - he owns it entirely.

Therefore, you can get as angry as you like - there is f*** all you can do.

If you destroyed his credit rating maybe - he'd fail the fit and proper ownership test but I think that takes a lot more work than protests!
