Surprised that Spurs are still 16/1 to chin us out of a top 4 spot - we look like we're running on fumes at the moment (understandably) and losing our last 2 games, even if only 1-0 each drops our GD down to +7 over Spurs. If they were to somehow nick a draw against City, its not beyond the realms of possibility that they could batter both Burnley and Sheff Utd at home and turn a 7 goal deficit round - if we were to lose by more than 1 goal in either game the task becomes even easier.....
I'm still nervous about how we get over the line for 4th but I'd be more confident about nicking something at home vs Liverpool than getting anything off Palace away.
I'm hoping that they don't nick a point v City then everything else becomes irrelevant

Heart says Burnley win, Luton win at West Ham and Forest get beat by Chelsea. Makes Burnley v Forest the perfect final game of the season with Luton playing a beatable Fulham.
Head says draw and Burnley down, with Luton and Forest both losing to make the last game a bit of a dead rubber.
I hope that Burnley get something out of the game... heaps a lot of pressure on Spurs to beat Man City

Score prediction for the Spurs v Burnley game? I'm going for 3-1 Spurs

Here's my lineup, assuming fitness...
Martinez
Cash Konsa Pau Moreno/Digne
Tielemans Luiz
Bailey (Diaby) McGinn (Zaniolo)
Rogers (Duran)
Watkins

My bookies are letting me bet on Spurs top 4 ($11), Spurs v Burnley, Spurs - draw/win ($1.08) - and Liverpool - draw/win ($1.25) on a multi paying $14.85. Is this worth doing or have I got my permutations wrong?

Villa lenses off, it is **** insane that a proven cheat who had a ban for being corrupt is allowed to referee the semifinal of a UEFA competition.
Even a Mickey Mouse one like the Conf League.
It says everything about the footballing authorities that they do not care and have no shame, both in equal measure.
And the General Secretary of UEFA with direct ties to Olympiacos... corrupt anybody?

Selections that are considered to have a related outcome cannot be included in a multi bet. That's always been the way as far as I know in more than one country. I even stole the text above from TAB site
Yes, I suspected as much....

I was thinking this. Not sure if you can combine them finishing top 4 with the individual games too.
May as well include us losing/drawing v Liverpool 29/40 too

Question for all you betting fans with regards to the next few games...
If Spurs to finish top 4 are paying 16/1 can I include that in a multi which includes the events that make this happen?
e.g. Spurs top 4 and Spurs beat Burnley and Spurs +1 v Man City
16/1 6/5 4/11

They did beat them in the FA cup this season. Scored from a corner with Vicario flapping and they'll be getting plenty more in the league game.
One of the reasons that I'm more confident about City winning this game is that this is a Spurs team playing all out attacking football... I'm hoping that City pick them off at will...

I tell you what. If the 5th placed team in Germany can reach the final, why would we go out in the group stage as the 4th best in England?
No reason we can't go far in this.
Especially with the new format. Two games from Tier 1, 2 from Tier 2, 2 from Tier 3 and 2 from Tier 4....

We lifted a trophy recently.... the Championship playoff trophy.... and also this gem

Yes, he was. 6 month ban.
I know this because he was also shit i one of West Ham's game last season and it came out in the post match furore.
He's a corrupt ref, and a notoriously crap arrogant one too. We're f%£ked if we got on the wrong side of him. And we no doubt will when he gives some dubious decisions their way. He'll let us implode after a few basic errors.
Brilliant.... tie over then
-
Spurs paying 5 to 1 to beat city and 9 to 2 the draw....
9 to 20 City win
-
Spurs had 5 tough games in Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool an City (to play). I was going to be surprised if they lost all 5.... so I think they'll get something from City... I'm hoping that they drop points to Burnley...

Liverpool had 25 shots against Spurs in their game... I hope that they give City the same number of opportunities...

They’d never throw the game away. Just wonder how much fight they will have against a relentless City. If every single player does not have the game of their lives they will lose.
I think they’ll get smashed.
The good thing is that big flange seems set in his methods... Defending against City and hitting on the counter MIGHT be a way to get a result against them but I suspect that Spurs will go full Seppuku against City...

What makes fans nervous is the prospect of it going to the final day. It would mean Spurs got a result against Man City and will be motivated to destroy Sheffield United. It will also mean we lost to Liverpool and would be on our worst run this season.
Let’s hope this is done and dusted by next Tuesday.
Spurs v City on 7am on 15th May, my 50th birthday... would be a great present....

So, we're in bad form and aren't going to get another point? But Spurs who are also in bad form are going to get something from City? No logic there.
Spurs 4 losses were against Newcastle A, Arsenal H, Chelsea A, Liverpool A... most teams in the league would lose these 4 games one after another.... Spurs form is poor last 4 games but the difficulty of thie fixtures is not being considered in this poor form...

I just asked my mate that support Spurs and he said lose 20-0 to City!
Guess he doesn’t want them to lose as much as your mate.
Its a pity that the fans aren't playing the game...

Pretty much all of the media outlets have dismissed Spurs as a possibility for top 4... They've got two of the easiest teams on paper to play so there's effectively only 1 point in it... I'm amazed that they've discounted Spurs.

Race for Champions League - 2023/2024

I know it's not all about me but from a purely selfish point of view, it's been difficult to watch the premier league games that have been moved to a Sunday to accommodate the conference league fixtures. I'm based in NZ so they've been on a Monday morning 3am. Champion's League fixtures will probably mean that the premier league games can still be on a Saturday so early Sunday morning out time.... much more palatable.... like I said, it's selfish..
