Are they actually playing well enough to beat Sheffield by 6 or 7? Newcastle are hence they did it a few weeks back. However Sheffield United also lost lost 3-1 to Liverpool at Anfield and 4-2 at Man. United so I'm not sure why a misfiring Spurs (just 3 goals in last 5 away games) can just go and do it no problem.

With the way they're playing Brereton Diaz will get chances on the break against them and his goals ratio since joining in January is pretty good.

It would be Spursy for them to beat City then lose to the blades

  2. Klopp's press conference before the Villa game... raves about Emery and says he's done a remarkable job and is one of the best in the business.

Indeed the fewer people that turn up to VP with that attitude the better.

I certainly won't be turning up to VP so, unless they read this forum, there's no danger of my voice throwing them off their game!

I know they don’t but for Spurs to have any chance of beating City they need all the fans behind them.  They won’t have that. It will be a strange atmosphere.

Agreed... its going to be bizarre

Yeah, if Arsenal don't beat United I'll feel very nervous all of a sudden. Hopefully though with all of United's injuries Arsenal will make light work of that fixture.

City will want to win the league at Spurs then so they can organise their parade for their final home game... they won't go any easier regardless of the Man U result...

Those two games are largely irrelevant though, they still have to get at least a draw from the City game, it’s all on that for us.

It's the draw that concerns me... the draw will be enough for them as they'll turn the GD around

Fans would rather finish 5th than Arsenal win league.

Fans don't play the game though...... it doesn't matter what the fans want to happen... 9 times out of 10, this City team beat Spurs but that 1 in 10 chance is the one that often bites Villa.

Yeah right they've lost 4 on the bounce haven't they?

They've lost to 4 decent sides who are in form. They didn't lose to a piss poor Brighton side who had been woeful for weeks. They now get to play 2 teams that have pretty much been propping up the league all season.

The amount of negativity on this thread is ridiculous!

Not sure if it's negativity or preapring to face reality. The reality is, if we don't hit Chmpion's league this season, we are likely to get asset stripped of some of best players, and we'll never be able to break into it. Unfortunately we've lost all form at a time where just one win would have seen us secure Champions league. Spurs have 6 points pretty much gift wrapped for them so they're only 1 point behind us... I think there's every right to be concerned and if you're not concerned based on the football gods historically shitting on us.... I don't see the positivity at this stage, sorry

Spuds, metaphorically speaking are now "smelling blood". They know that our form has dropped off with two difficult games for us next up.

    4th spot awaits.

All they have to do is win their games and I think they will 😣

If we end up getting 5th spot and losing in an European competition semifinal, it will look on paper as an outstanding season, however I think many of us will be disappointed if that is what happens.

We look toothless and devoid of ideas now, not helped by injuries and loss of form.

If the Villa was a marathon runner we have "hit the wall"

    VTID

I'm hoping that they lose at least one
