    HAha fantastic, Gabby chased a ball and their keeper came out and headed it for a throw in, Gabby took it immediatly to Milner who lobbed the keeper and defenders, great play by Gabby and Milner

    Milner is anything but static in the middle. Now that Downing is fit and we can have someone in the middle who can join attacks I would love to see the 4-5-1 at say Manu away but Hull home just isn't the time for it, if we're going to lose it it will be because we don't create/score enough and an extra striker is just going to help more with that than an extra defensive mid who wins the ball less than the one we have already playing anyway.

    The problem with NRC as a destroyer is that Petrov wins the ball a lot more nowadays. Also swapping a striker for a defensive mid is not particularly forward thinking in my opinion.

    If someone could be arsed, a record of all English vs. Spanish team matches in last 5 years in UEFA cup would be interesting.

    I'd love to play the big teams at the end of the season, if the title challenge is over they'll put half the effort in. With a bit of bad luck 4 of the teams we are playing will be in relegation fight and some of them will get a good run going to escape it.

    You'll have to realize that the Villa fans in this thread are those who have something to say about Spurs, who at the moment happen to be a bunch of people who don't like Spurs much, possibly because there's a few Spurs fans here now to have a go at. Not everyone here hates Spurs. And actually every summer you'll find Villa fans here who drool over your signings and say you've left us in the dust again, though that has quieted down now since we have finished above you couple of last seasons.

    I don't think he'll change it for Hull, I think this is the one he was primarily thinking of when he bought Downing.
