sorry but i disagree wiv the petrov rating from Bof - he come into a fast paced game in which we rarely had the ball and giving him a 5 for fitting into the side and rushing up the field wen we had a couple of counter attacks i think he adapted well after coming in so late. i think a 6 in my opinion every other decision from the original post i agree wiv- first half i did think Laursen was shakey but he did have Drogba down his neck - so understandable.. what a performance fought all the way and once we got the first goal i think the crowd did well to keep spirit up- crowd will get 9 from me - 12th man on field for us

I agree with everything that has been said. I also am disappointed by the lack of a RB coming in but there is always January hopefully... i believe MON has seen that the defence lacked confidence with the clown Sorenson behind them, and wouldnt be bothered if he left next summer as long as we get a capable replacement(Carson permanently, hopefully). I do think we will have a steady progression up table this season maybe 2 place improvement would make me happy, or pushing for uefa spot at best. If we get a bit of luck and the squad is motivated and kept fit then i do think a top 7 finish is achievable but id rather we didng run before we can walk.

i havent seen much from petrov so far this season and i feel that if he was as good as his value then he should be extremely capable of playing 1 game out of position (even though he hasnt played brilliant in position). I think people shouldnt be so hastey to criticise Gardner's performance as he is playing make-shift right back (out of position) and he hasnt been what we would want but he has shown commitment and determination in his performances and that is all we can ask of a player who isnt in his favoured position i was pleased with the result and hopefully it can lead to further points on the board, even though we have a difficult few weeks.

There a difference between making steady improvements to a team and making mass improvement of a squad. Improving a team MASSIVELY is a gamble as well as not signing till the last second of the transfer window. Tottenham may get their european football spot but maintaining it is a different story. MON is steadily increasing the strength of the squad- meaning we should steadily progress over the years up the table which is better than achieving the 4th spot this season and slipping away back into 10th the season later. So i agree with how MON is going to business and look forward to end of transfer window like everyone else to see who we can get last ditch...

I have to agree with the article i think our signings from a perspective over the whole transfer window seem to be good value. considering we have NRC a proven premiership player and was great for West Ham their first season after promotion similar scenario for Harewood(without his finishing they wouldn't of done so well, also he did well against us at upton park making our defence look silly). As for people saying that Harewood isnt a good signing should remember the season in which Angel and Baros really didnt have to play well to get into the first team- and baros especially rarely performed to the standard villa fans have expected from a man who played in a champions league final... So i do think there is a reason behind Harewood's signing- even if he doesnt manage to break into a first team spot he will be a good signing if his presence positively influences the performances of those trying to maintain a first team position - and im all for that. I enjoyed the article put things into perspective their have been some good free transfers this season but to top 4 teams so those players will really have to perform to make it there. Torres is unproven in premiership but has poacher's instinct (will have to see if he does a morientes) so i think we have done good business this far and hope to see some more before end of season.
