  1. Daily Mail Link

Aston Villa will put Everton manager David Moyes top of their short list this summer, with Gerard Houllier set to leave even if the club survive in the Premier League.

Chief executive Paul Faulkner said their ‘best chance of staying up is with Gerard’, but they have reserve-team boss Kevin McDonald available as a caretaker if results continue to slide.

There isn't a more qualified manager out there for me. Nothing more to do at Everton without investment.

  2. No to fat sam, I don't want him anywhere near VP with the anti football shite, never liked it .. never will.

As an opposition team, would you fear us more with Houllier in charge or Big Sam?? I know I would fear a Big Sam team more, and thats what we need, we've become a soft touch - we need a bit of bite!

  3. Houghton would be nice.
What, he'd take us down like he did Newcastle??. Fat Sam is the best we could hope for.

Houghton didn't take Newcastle down, Shearer did. Houghton got them promoted and stabalised in Prem (including a win at Arsenal!!)

  4. Stay.....for now. Whatever anyone says the quality of football is miles better than we've seen in years...I would give him this summer to sort the defence out (ie bring some new players in) and judge him at the end of next season. The current defence is pretty much the same one we had under MON and we weren't exactly solid at the back under him, so give Houllier a chance to change it.

  5. Hi General,

I think after last night it is quite clear then Houllier has absolutely no feeling towards Aston Villa whatsoever. To say he isn't too upset to lose to Liverpool because he likes them is an absolute disgrace. The results are bad enough, but with this added and the woeful defending we are witnessing at present, I think it's time Randy got rid now before Houllier wastes even more of Randys money in January - go get Martin Jol or Owen Coyle now and give them the money to spend.

Let's not forget than Liverpool were missing Torres, Gerrard and Carragher yesterday, and absolutely wiped the floor with us. I wouldn't bother coming on this thread again until after Xmas if I were you, if we lose at home to West Brom at the weekend...
