I think we'll sign 2 players. As for who or what position - no idea.
-
Thanks B6. Have to say all three look mint like that.
Hmm is costs allow one for the Holte, one for the North and one for away games.....
Now your talking.

But let's not fall out about it.....
Oh yeah.... who you telling not to fall out about it aye? :winkold:
Your right I doubt there will be one issue on which we all agree.
-
Come on own up - who voted for number 4?
-
Number 3 is just mint. Who cares if we won some of the trophies a few years ago lets remind the football world of our heritage and when we win the first cup of the new era we get a new flag. Perfect.
it's a strange one, as i am fully behind the star on the new crest indicating the european cup win in 82.
Yet i hate that new flag with the various trophy wins on it.
I think it's the understated nature of the star on the crest, and the overstated nature of the trophies with the counts on the flag, that does it for me.
But again, it's not an important issue for me, TBH. t'is the results on then picth that matter, not crests, kits or flags, and MON?Randy are doing us proud in that regard.
I see where your coming from but for me there is a big difference between living in the past and remembering the past as you move forward. I think we are doing the later.
Look at Arsenal for example who have the images and years of trophies won around the stadium which I think looks classy. Then look at Liverpool's banners with their trophey count on them which get no end of TV coverage and look great IMO.
There is a danger of celebrating the past a little too much but as long as its done while the club is moving forward I think thats fine. If we were sitting around mid-table and going nowhere it would be embarrasing.
Its a fine line but I think we just get away with it.

I can just image the chap who designed these flags sitting there and thinking....
1) mmm not bad, perhaps a little plain
2) mmm better, much better. Oh I wonder how it would look if....
3) Damn that's mint. I'm not going to better that now pass me my crack pipe
4) Yeah man....big lion and a bit of photoshop....... nice

What kind of drug were they using when they did number 4?

Gerrard Houllier seems to be having talks!
Shame, I wanted them to get relegated
Not that many days to get a new team though...maybe there is hope yet!
With Houllier in charge there is certainly a hope of that.
Didn't Houllier and Owen have a fairly dodgy relationship?
-
Houllier is very much in the running it would appear - expect a rush of unknown crap French players to Newcastle
And Milan Baros!
Well he meets one of the three criteria anyway. I'll give you a clue he is well known and not French.
-
I voted nobody.
Anyone and I mean anyone who takes on Capello will come off worse. Throughout his career Capello has demanded and recieved discipline and respect from him players and God help those who fall out of grace with the man.
Like or loathe his appointment but make no mistake he will not suffer fools.
-
houllier or jol will get it.
cant see keegan going back..

It saddens me to see support is falling for the Honey Monster...

Joey Barton player-manager has a certain ring to it.
What like Vinnie Jones in that prison film?
Mean Machine!
Thats the bad boy. Thanks.
Joey Barton would be perfect for a fly on the wall type docu version.

Please let it be Keegan!
Hasn't he walked out on every club he has managed?
Yeah and normally left them in a mess. But he would really galvanise the club and give them a boost in the short term just before we play them, would rather that didn't happen.

I think Bolton were always better than their position showed at the start of the season. Megson has got them organised, fighting and playing too their strengths again which makes me think they have enough to survive.
Sunderlands home form should keep them afloat which makes me think Blues could be in real trouble.

Not only is the race for Europe hotting up but after the results this weekend so is the fight to beat the drop. So who will drop through the trap door into the Chumpionship with Derby and Fulham (who look doomed) come the end of the season
Ladies and Gents your thoughts please...

If Redknapp takes charge at Newcastle all that added "big club" pressure and hassle from the "greatest fans in the world" will exaserpate his nervous ticks and twitches to the point where during his post match interview all we'll see on TV is a maroon blur for a head. It'll be like watching it on fast-forward.
Oh God I so want him to get the job. Watching Arry in an interview is almost as funny as the days of Gerry Francis and his constant suspision that someone was coming to get him from his right hand side. I used to laugh out load every time, anyone else remember that?
-
Not only that but why would he take the Newcastle job with everything that comes with it?
the piles of cash they are rumoured to be offering ?
Harry has plenty of piles of cash already, under the floor boards, the bed, in the walls, in accounts in the Cayman islands, etc etc....
But seriously he is on good money at Pompy already I just can't see him going up there for a little extra when he can have it easy down on the south coast.
Harry loves cash (Apparently!) .....and he would love the status of managing a bigger prem team, IMO of course!
I agree he would love the status the man had an ego of huge proportions I just think for reasons of geography and job security Newcastle wouldn't be the one for him. Again only my opinion.
-
If I was Harry I would take the money, he could afford to get sacked take his compensation and go back to Portsmouth!
Newcastle are a stupid club nowadays
These days?

What was I thinking not putting Keegan on the options for the poll??? I should have known that Mike Ashley knows nothing about football.
