  1. I just can't believe that Blues really think the likes of Jol, Redknapp or Hughes would even consider the job. Idiots.

    that mead me laugh aswell

Its okay though they haven't taken the rejection to heart. I can exclusively reveal that Pornodwarf, Pigface and that bird who writes a column in The Sun have spent the last 24 hours locked away in their gimp room, sorry board room working on a new list.

I can also reveal the top secret list of their top candidates for the job -

    Sir Alex Ferguson

    Fabio Capello

    Sir Alf Ramsey

    Fat Barry

Apparantly they are confident that they can get one of these top targets!!!

  2. What a might shortlist of managers!

poor bastards if tahts the best they can get i feel sorry for them...yeah right

Piss poor. Personally I think the short list at the start of this thread is better. I think the Blues board should take notice of what real football fans think and get on the phone to the clear front runner in this conclusive poll.

    Which is.....er Anne Summers!

  3. I can't believe they seriously thought that Jol would be interested in the job, after what he put up with at Spurs why would he risk the current situation at Blues.

A lot of what I have read suggests that Blues can't afford to appoint anyone who is currently in a job due to the compensation especially as everyone knows how much they got for Bruce.

  4. Damn it...never thought of D'OL perhaps the therapy is working. Interesting voting so far, thought Mr Meagee would have done better but at the moment the man with the eternal cold Trevor seems to be the fans favourite followed by Souness and Anne Summers!!!

  5. So Potatohead has gone - which leaves the question who takes over? I'm sure the Evening Mail will be running a poll tonight in which Blues fans will overwelmingly vote Pele or Sir Alex as their manager of choice so I thought we should have our own vote.

    Over to you guys...

  6. the rather vague circumstantial evidence presented during the case, backed up by one (now discredited) piece of forensic evidence linking him to the crime.

but he has previously lost one appeal which could suggest the case isn't as weak as CH4 would have us believe ?

another question on this would be though ..if the case really was weak and yet he was convicted by a jury of his peers ... do we need to look at the way jury's are put together in this country ? did they just convict him because Dandomania was high and they wanted to be seen to do the right thing ..or did they examine the evidence carefully and come to an informed decision ??

What? Are you suggesting they would send someone down for murder to satisfy the lust for revenge for Dando's murder?

Obviously they sent him down based on the evidence placed infront of them and the conclusion that they believed this evidence implied his guilt. Its the evidence the conviction was made against rather than the conviction itself which is the subject of the renewed and ultimately successful appeal. A subtle but important difference.

The is no issue over jury selection here it is an issue relating to the accuracy and reliability of forensic evidence in such cases.

  7. Hi General,

Just a quick question. I see half season tickets are on sale now and that they are limited to 750 and then a waiting list will be opened. I'm just curious why this is being put in to place as I would have assumed the more season tickets sold the better. I'm sure that there must be a logical answer to this I just can't figure it out.

    1. I can assure you that the North Stand will exceed your expectations...if Randy is allowed to proceed as he desires. Obviously, everything we do needs to be approved by the planning commission, etc. and that is not always a given. There will be max locations for wheelchairs.

    Hi General,

Couple of quick questions on this. When is it hoped this will happen? Is there any chance of a name related to the history of the club? And will those of us lucky enough to have got the cheap season tickets get the chance to do this again?

  9. Hi General,

It is being reported that Villa fans will have to pay £45 to watch the game at St Andrews this season following on from the trend of previous years. Can I just ask will we in return charge them the same amount when they visit Villa Park as I believe in previous years we have charged them far less.

it's against Prem League rules for Villa to do so, unless home fans are charged the same. Blandy

  10. Hi General,

Rather than the normal moan's and groan's that you get I thought I'd make a suggestion of a way we may be able to improve what the club can offer potential new arrivals. We have recently heard Shaun Malonney saying he hasn't settled or found a house and over the years this has been a familiar story, I'm sure you will have heard about JPA's first few months at the club.

I know we have a club 'mum' to help players settle but I was thinking it would be a good idea if the club had a couple of houses in or around areas where the current squad live. These houses could be then loaned to new arrivals for 2/3 months while they settle which would be so much better for them than being in hotels. It would help them settle and I think would help attract young players, foreign players or players with young families.

Anyway, its just a thought. It may be something the club already do but thought it would be nice to put forward a constructive idea for a change. be interested to know your thoughts on this General.

    2. Security: There is no question that if the Stewards moved on the problem quickly, this would not have happened. If fans cannot obey the regulations established by the TA and the specific Club, they should be excorted to the nearest exit. Lots of work going on right now to get on top of this...from Richard Fitzgerald on down.

I'm glad to hear that as to be honest it angers me that Villa fans should feel threatened in their own parts of the stadium. I'm still staggered at personally seeing a steward in the Lower North Stand have a nice little chat with two Liverpool fans and just ask them to remove their shirts.

The sooner we see an end to that kind of stewarding the better. However, my dad used to be a steward at VP and he was sat next to me and on seeing this his response was that a lot of the stewards didn't want to get involved with removing fans especially away fans.

I hope that your able to solve this one but I fear that we will see this happen again in the future when the likes of Man U come to town.

  12. Hi General,

There has on this site in recent days been a lot of talk about away fans in the home area's of the stadium, something Liverpool are notorious for. I would just like to ask what is the clubs policy on this and inparticular what is the policy for the stewards in the ground on this point?

The reason I ask is there were I believe a number of incidents around the ground during the game involving Liverpool fans in home sections. I personally witnessed two Liverpool fans sat directly behind the goal in the Lower North Stand on the second or third row in Liverpool shirts.

They were spotted by stewards before the game had even started and all around us assumed that they would be removed as we would should we do the same at ANY other ground. Instead we watched as a steward asked them just to remove their Liverpool shirts.

This surely can't be the policy of the clubs security team's - with a home game against Chelsea coming up I really think this needs addressing as home fans really shouldn't have to tolerate this.

  13. Hi General,

I ordered the new shirt from the official site the very first day that it was available but haven't recieved it. This is more than a little frustrating as I could have gone to the shop and bought it yesterday and no doubt paid less. Surely fans who pre-order should either get the goods a little early or at very least on the release day?

  14. I believe but a little less than I did yesterday and a lot less than the day before...

I have defended and defended MON and the club over the last few months but I'm not sure I can continue to do so for long based upon the current level of new arrivals. Something has gone wrong somewhere within Villa Park this summer.
