  1. I think Bale is being judged on one game at LB, when he wasn't even as bad as is being made out. Why judge him on this game and not the other games he's played at LB this season? Lennon tortured Evra twice last season and that doesn't suddenly make him a bad LB. No one is going to have a good game every week, but Bale has done this more conssitently than most players in the Prem at both LB and LM.

being beaten for skill, pace, tricky is normal at some point for any left back. However being caught numerous times out of position is well alot worse.

he's 20 years old! he's still learning the game!

  2. I think most teams could win games after being gifted 2 penalties by inept refereeing,

I'm sorry but I just can't take your posts seriously after a comment like this.

Both were as nailed on penalties as you'll see.

when I saw it live it looked as though Palacios was harshly done by but I'll retract that statement they were both penalties

  3. he WILL in the future, he's by far the best in the prem and he's only 20, the sky's the limit for him

he made 1 mistake all game by not tracking Nani, other than that he was excellent

    quality team?? behave

I've seen them play live around 10-15 times this season and they haven't impressed me at all

the lack of creativity in their midfield is astounding

1 Mistake? there was several times he was caught out of position?

As for by far best left back in Prem, nearly as bad as Darren Bent better than Rooney.

Quality team behave? Yeah, hence why they are top of the league because they know how to win games and have a quality team. Not as good as recent years but still a very good team.

No creativity, Paul Scholes for one is one of the most forward thinking, clever passers in the country.

no there wasn't he had an excellent game, there is no better left back in the league, look at the amount of goal he's assisted/scored recently and on top of that he's a very good defender

I think most teams could win games after being gifted 2 penalties by inept refereeing, they should make the most of being top as they won't be there for long

Aside from Scholes and Giggs, there is literally nothing and there aren't as good as they once were

  5. true :D

I meant I thought they played their squad players to keep their match fitness up aswell as players coming back from injury, this was their side against us earlier in the season:

STOKE: Simonsen, Griffin, Cort, Higginbotham, Pugh, Soares, Arismendi, Faye, Tonge, Sidebe, Kitson. Substitutes: Parton, Cohen (for Cort), Wedderburn (for Faye), Lund, Moult (for Sidebe).

I thought this was a regular occurence

    [col][col]goal.gif 17' Chuks Aneke

    goal.gif 42' Nacer Barazite

    goal.gif 83' Jernade Meade

    [row][row][mcol][mcol]Stoke City[mcol]1-3[mcol]Fulham[row][mcol][col]

    goal.gif 40' Louis Moult

    [col][col]goal.gif 4' Keanu Marsh Brown

    goal.gif 30' Michael Uwezu

    goal.gif 57' Christopher Buchtmann[/table]

Goal-machine Moult makes it 7 for the season playing for the utterly shite Stoke reserves. This kid must have something about him.

I thought they had a decent side with players like Danny Pugh, Higginbotham etc?

  7. yea he's on a contract till the end of the season, he's an ok manager glad he's taken some of the players off browns naughty step, we needed a change and didnt have the money for anyone of a better quality.

sadly our last chairman was given the resources to do anything he wanted to without the owner doing anything. i would mind going down if we wasnt laden with the 9th highest wage bill in the league and most players signed whilst in the PL with no claus in their contract for a wage reduction on relegation.

i forgot to add mendy to the list, he gets to leave on a free if we are relgated

oh right do you think he'll stay next season? if not, who do you want to replace him? I think overall he's done a decent job with a limited squad (no offence), he did well at Palace, wasn't given a chance at Charlton and Newcastle were a sinking ship when he took over. 9th highest in the league?! that's ridiculous! he was a mate of O'Leary's though weren't he? explains a lot!

I rate that Mendy, think he's one of your better players, although he doesn't seem to get much of a look in

  8. 6 goals in 7 starts

he's scored against Zilina, Hamburg, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Brighton and Doncaster

    the guy's a goalscoring machine

as I said if he starts tomorrow, we're as good as 1-0 up already

Im not with ya mate. Portsmouth??????

And if were counting Hamburg - we were 3-0 down so 1-0 up doesn't apply. Just say If delfouneso starts hel probably score - if thats what you mean

well he didn't start against them but he did score, ok then that's what I meant which basically equates to a 1-0 head start

  9. yeah I agree but doubt he'd get many games even at Everton to be honest, who else do you think will leave if you go down?

boetang ,hesselink and barmby are out of contract and i doubt we would offer them a new one(i think they are on 25-30k p/w)

i would like to see bullard leave as his wages are close to 50k after his appearance bonus. but no one would be stupid enough to take him off our hands.

cousin looks set to leave for greece and geovanni looks set to go to portugal

altidore and sonko loan ends so that them gone.

sadly due to our last chairman alot of our average players are on big contracts so i doubt anyone would take them on the money they are on.

i have no doubt if we go down administration is coming and proberbly a slip into league one

the only player out of them i will be sad to leave will be altidore as i think the las has a good future in the game

blimey I didn't realise the contract situation was that bad, you're not going to have much of a squad left! what do you think of Dowie as a manager? is he the man for next season? is his contract up at the end of this season? can't quite remember
