If we are going abroad then I'd like us to sign Pastore
living in a dream world mate
-
-
he was a target man...
-
Boriello is a poor excuse for a striker, not CL quality, nowhere near in fact
Pato's technique and touch leave a lot to be desired imo don't get the hype around him
if he was anywhere near as good as people think he would be in WC squad
-
agreed the_eristic, personally I don't rate Pato he's a headless chicken imo Milan are living off their glorious past
-
Milan don't need him.
I agree with this aswell, if we're serious about competing we should be going for this calibre of player not Carlton Cole!
-
I'm not talking about image, I'm talking about the current standard of the 2 teams
Who exactly do we have who is as good as Pato, Ronaldinho, Zambrotta, Nesta, Gattuso or Pirlo?
we've got a lot better than Abate, Dida, Boriello, Ambrosini, Kaladze etc
-
I'm not talking about image, I'm talking about the current standard of the 2 teams, plus I don't think Milan would be able to afford him
-
in fact it wouldn't be a risk because he'd fire us into CL
which in turn would generate far more than the fee and wages we would pay for him
not to mention shirt sales etc
-
AC Milan are no better than us currently imo
as I've stated many a time to improve in this league you have to take risks from time to time
-
if Man City sign Dzeko, we should go for Adebayor imo
-
Fair enough. If you rate him so highly then I can understand your objection to MON. I would take Richards or Miguel over Young pretty quickly. Not that he is terrible at all just that he is only an above average player for me. Do you feel the same way about NRC?
I fail to see how either are close to the standard of Young and no doubt they'd cost more than what Young would go for
I think NRC is a very effective centre mid especially when played in a 3 and his career has stalled somewhat recently but it's clear MON doesn't fancy him, therefore a move away would probably suit all parties
-
he finished 6th 3 years in a row with a net spend of £80 million , wow I think that's the bare minimum fans should expect to be honest
as for the cup runs, we should've been knocked out by Palace who outplayed us at their ground
you forgot to mention the style of football's a joke, he seems to be losing the dressing room with many players seeming to want out
you also didn't mention his lack of rotation or using subs to supplement the side, we had a £10million defender who couldn't get into the squad at the tail end of last season! he's wasted ridiculous amounts of money on very average players such as Sidwell, Shorey, Beye and if decide to cash in on them, we will not recoup the money we paid for them
all in all, I think the bad points outweigh the good and enough is enough
-
Young we won't get a better right back imo
-
Miguel is NOT better than Luke Young
-
Personally, I'd take 20 million right now
-
Oh and I really rate Luke Young and can't understand why he isn't generally first choice RB but that comment....well It's a joke to be honest.
why is it? I know which I'd prefer to stay out of the 2, people seem content with a manager who's won the equivalent of the Midland Alliance league and a few league cups, Steve McClaren has a better record than him
-
your point being? Personally, I think Rodwell is decent nothing more at the minute, he has potential but is a long way from realising it imo, still think he'll end up at cb
-
so did Rooney
-
I'd say it's common sense keeping your best right back and 2nd best centre midfielder and if there are issues between them, find a solution! people call MON a good man manager, well I'm seeing no evidence of it here, it's absolutely baffling
-
Chindie, I disagree about Milito's pace, he looked quite quick yesterday but he has been around for a few years!
we were linked with him not so long ago, were we not?
how times change!
-
you said we paid over the top for him and then proceed to say he's the best english rb....
-
How much would it cost to get Fellaini ?
A lot.
wouldn't be worth it
-
just get Ireland in exchange

Palermo is his stepping stone and he wouldn't come here
