So Sturridge has a bad attitude and yet one of the top 3 managers in the world, possibly ever, has chosen to blood him in every game, Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup (including the final)
Nah mate, I think I'll stick to Ancelotti's view of him thanks
Oh, and by the way, if you say, well why would he sell him then , I have already answered it - I don't think Ancelotti wants to - but Abramovic wants Torres.
And if you have Torres , Anelka and Drogba (as well as Kalou) then a young Daniel Sturridge may be available.
Even if it is on loan !
I agree completely, we should've got him 1st time around and given 50k per week but as usual we were too slow in the transfer market
-
I don't think Doyle is that sort of player. I mean, I can see him asking to leave and being annoyed if he weren't able too but he's a 100% player. Also it's not worth the hassle, trying to chase someone so hard if he's only of Doyle's ability.
There are a real lack of strikers available this window. Hopefully O'Neill can do the business but I think (hope not) he'll go for a safe option and we might rue it a little. I really hope he moves away from a big man type of striker he seems to prefer. I think we can play really good football at times, just missing that striker who is on the same wavelength as Downing and Milner etc..
not going to happen, he's played with a big man up front throughout his managerial career, it's not going to change now
-
no idea to be honest, they were playing in the dallas cup at the time but i don't think the game was ever re-scheduled
-
will delfouneso be a 1st team regular?
-
on what basis are Gomes, Klose and Anelka better than Bent??
-
they'd accept £18-20m I think
-
In: Bent £18m
N'Zogbia £10m
Ireland £8m
Out: Harewood (Free)
Bouma (Free)
Davies (£6m)
Sidwell (£4m)
Milner (£20m)

which bit? if you meant the released players, they're definite
if you meant Berry going to rb, it's my opinion but I'd say its 90% certain
-
Is Di Maria going to Real Madrid then? From what I've seen, he's very good but inconsistent and I think that move could ruin him
-
There's an awful lot of talent in Portugal, definitely worth a gamble for a lot of prem sides
-
Simmonds has decent ability but isn't much of a goal threat, I think he'll have a decent career though
and yes Berry is but I think the transition to right back will be permanent
-
2nd years to be released are Ryan Simmonds, Kofi Poyser, Tom Roberts, Ben Love, James Clifton, Richard Blythe, Jack Dyer
2nd years to be retained are Andras Steiber, Calum Flanagan Jason Lampkin (due to long term injury)
Ellis Deeney and Durrell Berry
Gary Gardner, Benjamin Siegrist and Arsenio Halfhuid are already on professional contracts
-
u18s drew 1-1 with Coventry, Ellis Deeney the scorer
u16s won 2-0, Umit Eminoglu got both
-
It's great for the lad but having 5 strikers in the squad doesn't make much sense to me
-
oh I thought you meant he was surplus to requirements, they won't let him go imo
-
why on earth would Gomez go?
-
yeah they are, we had Josh Burge on trial from Grimsby a few years back, Sam Baldock at MK Dons and a few others aswell and I've heard nothing yet regarding the players that will be released
-
Josh Barnes is 12 I think, scorers were Richard Bryan x2 (1 pen), an u16 centre back who'll be a scholar next season, Alfie Crooks x2, an u15 striker and Jordan Graham (pen), an u15 right winger
Team was a trialist in goal, (r-l) Liam Bateman, Josh Webb, Richard Bryan, Oli Stephenson, Mason Clark, Alfie Crooks, Malcolm Melvin, Jordan Graham, Umit Eminoglu, Callum Robinson, the team played in a 4-3-3 formation and they're all u15s bar Bryan. Subs used were Danny Williams and Michael Nelson both u15 strikers and Riccardo Calder an u14 winger, Umit Eminoglu had a good game and played a key part in most of the goals and won a pen
-
They were playing an u16 side all of whom have scholars for next season, its a great achievement, we even had an u14 come on as sub
-
only 15? bargain
-
he's not on delfouneso's level lol
-
robin soder was on trial with us back in 2006, god knows why we didn't sign him
-
won 5-1 against spurs on Saturday with basically an u15 side!
-
oh and Seb Jenkins, a centre back
