  1. He was targeted yesterday by Leicester, they knew he is often the release ball when under pressure at the back and they had a player onto him straight away. If he had of moved the ball quicker, then two of the goals don't happen.

Not entirely his fault, but we need to be smarter to beat these traps.

Our best football is always ahead of us, that's the problem.

Fact is, if your not spending, your not achieving f*** all.

I don’t agree with that at all, it’s a fallacy.

You can spend money and not improve the team, we’re trying to improve the team, sometimes we just need to be patient.

  3. It was quite obvious the club wanted Guendouzi (club wouldn’t let him go from reports) and Williams (didn’t want to move, at least in this window).

We can go back for both and hopefully have the deals done in the summer, with a new CB and Stiker.

Our best football is still ahead of us.

I agree it should be the right player, I’m not advocating for bringing in just anybody I’m just surprised how (with 24 hours to go) how we haven’t been able to do that beyond Moreno and Duran.

You and me both my friend.

I’m worried about bookings, injuries, form, options…I think it’s a gamble especially 8n the attacking areas.

Personally I’d rather we bring in the right player in the summer than sign someone who doesn’t make the squad better.

I expect one of two through the doors today, but I could be wrong.

If he doesnt come now I doubt anything will happen in the summer.  How often does someone move once it's out in the open in one window that they move to that club in the next window.  It does happen in rare cases but generally parties are looking elsewhere next window.  You think back of all our past windows, I'm struggling to think of a player we were interested in one window (and it was very public) and we signed them in the following window instead......

There were rumours about Sanson the previous window before we bought him in.

  7. To me it seems obvious the club is trying to clear the decks for a couple of players. We now have two weeks to get these players in before our next game and get them up to speed. I’d be surprised if we don’t see them in before Friday.

Unfortunately all the other leagues are skint .

Years of allowing Barca, Real , Bayern , Juve (lol) totally dominate the tv rights and the other revenue streams has caught up with them. I know the sky 7 and all that but finishing last in the premier league means you can still afford to buy good players from Europe.

sad state of affairs but they only have themselves to blame.

Edit - Sanson is a good player but needs minutes. And what a hunk.

Also doesn’t help that most of the PL teams are propped up by billionairre’s. Chelski, Man City have created the hyper inflation of the transfer market and wages over the last 20 years.

  9. You will find her role will be around pre, in game and post game nutrition. When a player comes off during a game, giving them food to start the recovery process, hydration and electrolyte maintenance during game etc. testing etc

I just don't want to be hypocritical. I hate time wasting. I hate when teams come to VP and I spent money to watch them spend 20 minutes of the game taking dead balls and throws.

Do I love Emi? Yes. Do I secretly deep down want him to do this yesterday? Yes.

I was muttering to myself kill the game lads. Like I was against Stevenage. Kill the game take the replay.

But....but.....but.....Emi should have been sent off yesterday. He knows the line because there is no line. The ref wasn't going to do it. He took the piss. Took the piss some more. Took the piss some more. Got booked. Then continued.

It's not Emi. It's all football. At some point a precedent needs to be set.

i was watching Emi before the game yesterday in the tunnel and he was having a nice little conversation and a laugh with the ref before the game, he knows what he is doing.

  11. Disappointed to see him leaving as always thought he was a very good player and will show it again at Montpellier. I don’t buy the poor trainer etc as it would have come up at his previous club. IMO some players at Villa are like Teflon and we’re selected whether they put in good or bad performances and more reflective of both previous managers.

I wish him well and look forward to him getting his career back on track.

  12. I’m not blaming the manager, he’s been giving these players the opportunity to show their worth, today they let him down through poor mentality and not being at it the full 90min.

Was the team selection a mistake, maybe, he could have gone best 11 and killed off the game early, but he gave these fringe players a chance to prove themselves, and they let him down.

Im disappointed, but now Emery may actually pull the trigger on some of these frauds.

not if he signs for us then Southgate will put him into retirement:P

Or Southgate will be ringing him and warning him of the consequences of the move…
